Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Bennett.
Hi Andrew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey as a creative business owner really started with music. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 8, and I’ve always played in bands. While playing actively in the Austin music scene, I bought myself a Canon Rebel and 50mm prime lens and started taking it to shows. I’d shoot the opening band, or the bigger bands we were opening for and my love for photography grew from there. The Austin Chronicle named me the “Best Live Music Photographer” of 2017, and the publicity from that allowed me to quit my day job and pursue photography full time.
After that, I got into video production, and now I run Bennett Creative, which is a full service digital marketing agency. We produce exceptional video content, commercials, social media and ad campaigns.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are ups and down with starting any new endeavor, but overcoming challenges is what makes work fulfilling.
