Hi Andrew, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Building isn’t something I “got into.” It’s something I was born into. My granddad built his own house. Pops built his. And I was out on job sites with a hammer in my hand before most kids could tie their shoes.
After serving in the military, I came back to what I knew best—hard work, real craftsmanship, and doing things the right way. Poe Legacy Construction isn’t about throwing up walls and moving on. We build legacies, brick by brick.
I’ve worked on homes from Washington to North Carolina, but Texas is home. It’s where I’m raising my family and building my business. Too many homeowners get burned by cheap work and empty promises. That’s why we do things differently. We build things to last, priced with integrity and crafted with care. Every project, every time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The work has never been the hard part, I’ve been building since I could walk. The real challenge was, and still is, proving that good contractors still exist. This industry is full of guys who overpromise, underdeliver, and disappear the second things get tough. That’s not me. That’s never been me.
Growing the business while keeping quality at the center and keeping our prices fair has been the real test. Some companies get big and start rushing jobs, cutting corners, and farming out work to the cheapest subcontractors they can find. That’s never going to happen here. If my name is on it, it’s done right.
