Hi Avishay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a passion for helping people.
Early in my career, I planned to become a therapist. I studied psychology and worked with young children with special needs, believing I would support others through clinical work and conversation.
As my life shifted into motherhood, my priorities naturally changed.
When I felt ready for a new chapter, I enrolled in esthetician school as a second career path, without prior experience in the industry, simply knowing I wanted to do something meaningful.
During that time, I discovered that my ability to care through touch was just as powerful as words-and that realization shifted everything.
After graduating, I began as a mobile esthetician, offering facials in clients’ homes.
That chapter gave me the confidence to open my own studio, where the work has continued to expand through trust and word of mouth.
Today, my practice continues to grow organically, and I’m preparing to train my first esthetician-a moment that reflects how far this journey has come.
I focus on creating a space where people can relax and feel taken care of, while guiding them toward healthier skin. I also offer eyebrow services to enhance natural features and confidence. I’m grateful to do work that supports both confidence and well-being.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road.
Stepping out of my role as a stay-at-home mother and into the role of a business owner was not easy.
The transition required learning how to shift my mindset, take on new responsibilities, and grow into a version of myself I hadn’t fully stepped into before.
Running a business has two very different sides. There is the hands-on, in-studio work, and then there is the technical, behind-the-scenes side of operating a business.
Being in the studio and working directly with clients comes naturally to me.
The business and technical side has been a much steeper learning curve.
I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way, but I’ve learned not to let those moments define me.
I’m a fast learner, and each challenge has helped me grow more confident and capable.
The more I accomplish, the more my vision expands- and that growth continues to push me to aim higher and dream bigger.

Beauties and Brows is a results-driven skincare and brow studio focused on personalized care, education, and long-term skin health.
I specialize in customized facial treatments and precision brow shaping, with a strong focus on acne care, corrective extractions, and skin barrier health. I also work with dehydrated, mature, and sensitive skin types, tailoring each treatment to the individual. I am currently expanding my services to include permanent makeup, specifically hyper-realism nano brows.
Facial massage is central to my work, including lymphatic drainage and lifting techniques that support circulation, relaxation, and visible skin vitality. I use advanced skin-correction methods and professional-grade skincare brands, and every facial is fully customized-without add-on charges.

Giving back is also important to me. Once a month, I offer a complimentary model session because I believe skincare should feel accessible, compassionate, and human.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned that confidence is built through action.
Each challenge, setback, or uncomfortable moment became an opportunity to grow stronger and more capable. Instead of waiting to feel ready, I learned to move forward anyway.
Over time, those small, steady efforts added up. Showing up consistently, staying open to learning, and allowing myself to grow through experience made the difference.
That mindset now shapes how I approach both my work and my business, guiding the way I continue to grow.
