Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Dlouhy.
Hi Brooke, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The height of my Hair & Makeup career:
Getting to watch clients on the big screen is just different.
Working with Glenn Powell in the launch of his career with Top Gun ll & in addition of Apollo 10 1/2 movie production by Richard Linklater was an incredible experience.
I traveled with Glenn Powell for a week, working 12 hour days doing interviews with world wide publications: LA Times, People, SXSW, Hollywood Reporter, Netflix, Variety Magazine, GQ & more… We even had an interview with NASA Astronauts in space that was on the schedule for interviewing & talking about space Q&A’s, as they were floating on camera in a interview. I was literally pinching myself.
We were in blaked out Cadillac escalades with bodyguards and had private drivers going from one interview production to another. Photo shoot production back to back everyday & all day, with lunch break. My job was to make sure he looked his absolute best for each and every interview & photo shoot that was taken for the beginning of his global launch & world tour.
Glenn was so nice, his energy is incredible, I got to meet his mom and dad that are with him everywhere he goes & they are truly enthusiastic & welcoming. He offered & carried my bags for me because they were really heavy at times since I’ve had spine surgery and in the comparison to the long hours of our work day. He even stopped traffic for me getting out of the car for unloading. He’s a truly a kind human being & samaritan.
I had the incredible honor to have Anastasia MUA Pro Hair + Makeup Team to assist me to make this experience flawless. I am so proud of our incredible UT humble guy, that’s grown into being an Austin A list movie star & it’s not every day that I get this kind of work calls driving on a country road of FM 973 & pulled over on the side of the road & you see a California area code & Netflix is on the other line. God is truly amazing for a lot of work I’ve been so incredibly blessed.
The last time I went to the movies I watched Twister with my daughter (Popcorn, Pickles & Sprite) and hopefully will go see Running Man here in the next week.
I also work various events, television photo shoots and weddings. My life is my career, I enjoy and love what I do so, it doesn’t feel like I’m really working sometimes I’m more so, pinching myself. I get to work with people on the most exciting days of their lives.And there’s nothing better than that! Besides spending time with my daughter!
I am truly blessed to be able to work with incredible Austin Vendors in so many collaborative opportunity projects.

I also have fun working and serving our Austin community being a local from the Austin area. Driving all over central texas , I am confident & knowledgeable in the Travis & Williamson County landscapes.
I’ve been a realtor for 3 years now and my dream goal is to work in the luxury housing market selling homes to my celebrity clients, 1st time homebuyers & everyone in between making dreams come true. Another facet to my calling is protecting assets with Life Insurance and supplement living benefits in case of any life & health emergencies & experiences. I’ve had my share of a handful health crisis in my life and also lost my amazing dad hen I was just seven months pregnant with my beautiful daughter, Camryn. I just want to protect those that build their dreams so they don’t come to a moment without having the opportunity of proper arrangements & safey set ups.
Last but not least, I also provide Ambit energy electricity. I met a friend in Austin at an Ed Mylette event & it made sense that hey I sell homes, protect assets & why not offer electricity and help others save money, if we provide it in that area. If i’m not doing weddings, photo shoots, and interviews. I like to stay busy and I love everything I do!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hair & Makeup: being an event style as you work on strict timelinestein are very important to succeed. At first I had to get through my confidence of practicing my skill so good that I could do anything in a specific amount of time. You never know what a client is gonna ask and you have to be able to get that style fully finished by a deadline. If you don’t understand timelines ,this part job starts early, and it has deadlines and schedules.
Getting your business & name out there in the world can be scary because being a independent business owner. It’s up to you to self promote and that can be a little uncomfortable with putting your face and skills out there for everyone to articulate and judge.
In addition to adding to my career, I would get up early and study before going to work and anytime I had off, I used it wisely to grow my career menu. The hardest part was being so tired and having to study information and understand it was my challenge, with little sleep all while working & doing life. If you put your mind to anything, you can achieve it!
As you know, we’re big fans of Brooke Amber Studio & Real Estate & Insurance & Electricity . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I studied web design back in 2006 on my own. I called businesses to promote myself and they asked if I had a website numerous times by different businesses. I got the picture that I needed to get one designed, however was very expensive, I then studied how to designed my own website & I slowly grew my practices.
I’m known & specialize in events as a hair & makeup stylist. Red carpet, production, weddings , photo shoots and more. It’s only part-time and by appointment. I also specialize in real estate, I offer additional services of Life Insurance financial services and electricity services as an opportunity to protect assets and save money on your electric bill. If a specific area address is covered.
What sets me apart? Is that in my life experience, I feel like I cover monumental factors that not only bring beauty services at a persons milestone such as a wedding, in addition, I can offer services to sell my clients a house and protect their financial future with life insurance including living benefits. Also saving money with utility bills such as electricity services that already come along witransferring your utilities when you move.
What I’m most proud of brand wise is that I feel like I am a full service to beauty & life experiences that when a bride gets married, I have all the keys to the beautiful milestones, in their beautiful journey of celebrating milestones.

to know is I work by appointment. I work with amazing teams behind the scenes that we make all the magic happen. What does success mean to you?
Success is having food, clothing and shelter surrounded by your loved ones doing what you love with purpose, gratitude and joy. Volunteering where you are passionate and taking time for yourself to enjoy the big and little things.
