Today we’d like to introduce you to Desi Ybarra.
Hi Desi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I founded my company following several years of hands-on experience in youth athletics. In 2013, my wife, a few close colleagues, and I launched a youth sports organization. Through that work, I established a strong relationship with a uniform manufacturer, which became foundational to my future business.
Over the seven years I led the organization, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges teams face throughout a season—particularly the difficulty of raising funds to purchase uniforms. Knowing this challenge first-hand, I made the decision to partner directly with the manufacturer. My goal was to provide teams with high-quality uniforms at more affordable prices.
As the business grew, so did our offerings. In addition to outfitting teams, we began supplying parents and supporters with branded apparel such as t-shirts, caps, and other team merchandise. I also expanded my network by building relationships with high school and middle school coaches across Texas, allowing us to serve a broader range of athletic programs.
Through this work, I noticed that many school athletic departments work with limited budgets. By offering competitively priced uniforms without compromising quality, I have been able to help coaches maximize their resources and extend the impact of their funding compared to higher-priced national brands.
What began as a small initiative to support youth athletics, has evolved into a business dedicated to building lasting relationships with coaches, athletes, and communities, while helping programs stretch their resources and create meaningful experiences for their players.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business is not easy but it was something I was really pationate about. Some of the challenges I faced while starting a small business were working a full-time job, and raising three kids who all had games in youth leagues and/or school. Finding a work/life balance was definetly a challenge. Some of the business challenges I faced were the hoops you have to jump through to be able to work with schools within the State.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We provide uniforms, t-shirts, caps, backpacks, duffle bags, custom canopies, custom table covers and more to the community.
What sets us apart from others is the affordable pricing and the pride I take in providing the best customer service possible.
I want reader to know that if they choose to work with us they can expect exceptional customer service and quality work.
Any big plans?
The plan for the future is to continue to grow the business and hopefully expand to schools an dorganizations outside the state of Texas.
