Today we’d like to introduce you to Janna Price.
Hi Janna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As an experienced freelance photographer my journey started almost a decade ago in high school. I began taking introductory level photography classes which lead to an immediate passion for capturing photos. As a university photographer for 4 years at Gonzaga University, I gained invaluable experience shooting event coverage, portraits, the Gonzaga Basketball team, various sports, and more. I now have additional experience photographing events for companies like a start-up dating app called First Rounds On Me and weddings. In my free time, I love to go out and photograph nature and landscape photos. I’m open to photographing just about anything and hope to continue my journey capturing life’s special moments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life isn’t easy. Pursing a passion that is time consuming and costly can be difficult. However, I’ve never given up my dream of pursuing photography. As it functions now, photography is my side hustle, passion, and hobby. My ultimate goal would be to pursue photography full time as a freelance photographer, possibly even a wildlife photographer.
We’ve been impressed with Janna Price Photography, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a lifestyle, portrait, event, wedding, sports, and landscape photographer. Put simply, I shoot just about anything and have developed a wide range of skills over the past 8 years. I’m currently open to working with clients to photograph a variety of shoots including senior portraits, weddings, events, lifestyle photos, and more. My website highlights my experiences, skillset, and offerings.
A few highlights of my photography career so far include photographing Gonzaga’s Men’s Basketball team, with notable events such as the 2021 WCC Championship in Las Vegas and the 2024 First and Second Rounds of March Madness. During my time at Gonzaga, I worked for The Gonzaga Bulletin and the Marketing and Communications team, capturing campus events, portraits, sports, and much more. I photographed countless students for their senior portraits along the way. In addition, while studying abroad in Italy, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph the beauty of Florence, Paris, and other parts of Europe. My passion for capturing beautiful memories is what drives me to pursue photography both as a hobby and a profession.
Any big plans?
In the near future, my goal is to develop and maintain a larger client list to be able to pursue part-time photography. I am open to event coverage, portraits, weddings, photo-illustrations, sports, and just about anything that comes to mind.
