Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Cobb.
Jordan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started IVitamin in 2016 during a season of my life where everything looked good from the outside — and felt overwhelming on the inside.
At the time, I was in medical device sales. I had two babies under two years old. My days started before sunrise, often in the operating room before my kids were awake, and ended with me racing home just in time to kiss them goodnight. I was a mom, a wife, a high performer at work — and I was exhausted.
I lived on caffeine, adrenaline, and willpower. I was pushing through instead of listening to my body. I remember thinking, I’ve built this beautiful life… why does it feel so hard to keep up with it?
That’s when my best friend of over 25 years and also a pharmacist came to me with an idea. What if we created a place in Austin where people could actually support their bodies instead of running them into the ground? A place focused on real health, not trends- a proactive stance on wellness. On feeling good consistently, not just surviving the week.
That idea became IVitamin and it was Austin’s first brick and mortar IV Hydration Lounge.
When we opened our doors, most people had no idea what IV therapy was. There was no roadmap. No proven business model. We were building something new, and we were doing it while raising young children and figuring out life in real time.
From day one, safety mattered more than anything. Having a pharmacist as a co-founder allowed us to lead with integrity and clinical excellence in a space that didn’t always prioritize either. And being mothers building a business together meant we gave each other grace — because life doesn’t pause just because you’re an entrepreneur.
The journey hasn’t been easy. It’s been challenging, messy, and at times really hard. But it’s also been incredibly fulfilling.
Over the years, IVitamin grew into something much bigger than we imagined. We built a loyal, membership-based community of people who believe, like we do, that feeling good shouldn’t be optional. That as we age, we don’t have to accept exhaustion, brain fog, or slow recovery as “normal.”
We’ve expanded into advanced longevity services like NAD, Niagen, Peptides, and Exosomes and have clinical testing that gives patients real data. And now after getting started 10 years ago we have four locations serving the greater Austin community and have safely and successfully delivered over 100,000 IVs. Our mission is to expand our vision and foot print with our bolt-on franchise model that allows other business owners to bring IV therapy and longevity services into their own communities.
At the heart of everything is the same belief that started it all:
Your body is trying to tell you something — and when you listen, support it, and give it what it needs, everything else in life works better. IVitamin exists for high-performing individuals who refuse to let energy, clarity, or recovery become a bottleneck in their life.
I built IVitamin with my best friend. I built it as a mom. I built it as a wife — I’ve been with my husband for 26 years — and as a woman who refuses to believe that burnout is the price of success.
This business is an extension of my “why” for everything I have created in my life. I believe if you don’t feel optimized and well then you can’t truly show up and be present for all of the blessings. The greatest gift we have is our health and our mission is to share this with others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. And I don’t think most meaningful businesses are!
We built IVitamin from the ground up with no outside funding. We bootstrapped it ourselves, which meant wearing every hat, making hard decisions, and learning as we went — often the hard way. There was no proven model when we started. IV therapy wasn’t mainstream, and we had to spend years simply educating people on what it was and why it mattered.
Being female entrepreneurs added another layer. We had to work harder to be taken seriously in a medical-adjacent space, especially early on. We led with integrity, safety, and consistency, even when it would have been easier to chase trends or shortcuts. Having a pharmacist as a co-founder helped establish credibility, but we still had to earn trust every single day.
Then COVID hit. Like many businesses, it was one of the most stressful periods we’ve ever faced. There was uncertainty, fear, and constant change. We had to protect our team, our clients, and the business all at the same time, while continuing to make payroll and navigate regulations that shifted weekly. There were moments when it felt like everything we had built was at risk.
On a personal level, balancing motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship has been one of the biggest challenges. Building a business while raising young children requires sacrifice, flexibility, and a lot of grace — both for yourself and your partner.
But those challenges shaped IVitamin into what it is today. They forced us to build thoughtfully, stay grounded in our values, and focus on long-term sustainability over quick wins. Every obstacle reinforced why we started in the first place — to build something meaningful, ethical, and lasting.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
IVitamin is a wellness and longevity company built around one core belief: when you optimize your wellness, you show up 100% optimized in all areas of your life. This means being present at home because you feel fueled, being on your A game at work because you have increased focus and most importantly feeling whole because you are no longer depleted.
At our core, we specialize in IV vitamin therapy and advanced longevity services designed to support energy, mental clarity, recovery, and long-term health. What started as IV hydration has evolved into a comprehensive performance and maintenance model that includes IV therapy, injectable nutrients, NAD and Niagen therapies, peptides, exosomes, and micronutrient testing — all delivered through a clinical, safety-first lens. Our clinical team is comprised of our medical director Dr Edgerton, our pharmacist Co Founder Jana Gavin, a full time nurse practitioner and an amazing team of registered nurses.
What sets IVitamin apart is how intentionally we’ve built the business.
From day one, safety and clinical integrity have been our top priorities. Having a pharmacist as a co-founder allowed us to lead with credibility in a space that didn’t always have clear standards. We don’t chase trends, we don’t overpromise, and we don’t treat wellness like a novelty. Everything we offer is thoughtfully evaluated, protocol-driven, and designed to support people consistently — not just in moments of burnout or crisis.
We’re also known for our membership-based model and the community we’ve built around it. Our clients — what we call our Wellness Warriors — don’t see themselves as patients. They see their health as something worth protecting. They come to IVitamin because they want consistency, trust, and a place that respects their time, intelligence, and lifestyle.
We’ve been in business for a decade, have safely delivered over 100,000 IVs, have two brick and mortar locations in Austin, a third location that just does Mobile IV services, corporate wellness and events and most recently launched a bolt-on franchise model with our first location in New Braunfels that opened in 2025. This new model allows other high-quality business owners to integrate IV therapy and longevity services into their existing practices, helping them grow while maintaining the same standards and values that define IVitamin.
What I want readers to know most is this:
IVitamin isn’t about vitamins — it’s about capacity. It’s about helping people feel well enough to fully enjoy the life they’ve worked so hard to build. We believe your health is not a luxury or an afterthought. It’s the foundation for everything else.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality that has mattered most to my success is persistence — paired with faith.
There have been many moments along this journey where it would have been easier to quit, cut corners, or choose the faster path instead of the right one. Building IVitamin through limited funding, uncertainty, COVID, and the realities of motherhood and life required showing up even when things were hard, unclear, or uncomfortable.
I’ve learned that hard work alone isn’t enough. You have to believe deeply in why you’re doing what you’re doing. For me, that belief has always come back to the same place — helping people feel well enough to actually enjoy their lives. When things got tough, that mission kept me grounded and moving forward.
Integrity and authenticity have been just as important. We’ve stayed true to who we are, even when it meant growing slower or saying no to opportunities that didn’t align. I’ve never wanted IVitamin to be something it’s not. I wanted it to be real, trustworthy, and built with care.
A positive mindset doesn’t mean ignoring challenges — it means choosing to keep going through them. Believing in the vision, staying committed to the mission, and doing the work day after day is what has carried me through. And ultimately, that consistency is what built the business. And the business has and continues to change lives which is what it is all about.
