Today we’d like to introduce you to Jorge Guevara. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Outcomes Detox & Recovery Center is a medically managed substance use treatment facility. Our Medical Director has over 20 years of medical experience, and our counselors have established reputations for treating addictions. Dr. Guevara is a board-certified Internal Medicine professional and Certified Suboxone Provider with twenty years of experience as a medical doctor. He is the founder and operator of Medical Associates of Brownsville, SPI Clinic, RGV Day and Night Clinic, and most recently, the Outcomes Detox and Recovery Centers. He is a vital decision-maker who understands the importance of compassion and patience. Dr. Guevara studied at Peruana Cayetano Heredia through 1988 and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1995.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It has not been easy since addiction and rehab services are minimal here in the valley towards addiction. Luckily we have the staff and team that can bring out the best of the situation to assist on the road to recovery.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk about work. What should we know?
Our medical staff is highly qualified to administer treatment for complete detoxification and comprehensive management of withdrawal symptoms, helping to maintain sobriety through our residential treatment program and beyond. We recognize the critical importance of this first step for recovery and rest assured that we will make every effort to keep everyone comfortable with preserving their motivation towards recovery. We offer comprehensive services for detoxifying various addictions, including alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamines, heroin, and prescription opioids. We are one of the few treatment centers for detoxification with direct access to a medical clinic. The length of stay in our facility is based on your individual needs.
What are your plans for the future?
We plan to expand Outcomes to assist everyone in Texas currently struggling with addiction, but unfortunately do not have the necessary resources.

Miss Julie Berman – our Clinical Director of Nursing, is at work, keeping the facility up to the policy. Again, like many of our call leagues, she has an extensive background and decades of experience in addiction.
