Hi Juany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In a simple summary, I got started in this line of business for necessity. Due to eviction notices, debt accumulation, and the need to feed my two children as a newly single mother, drove me to find employment by any means necessary. Cleaning one house turned into two, then into multiple. Without realizing it, I soon found myself needing help to handle the amount of business I was acquiring. With time, business grew along with my experience and drive to expand my horizons. Slowly, I have been expanding my business and venturing out to meet new people with the same desire and business mindset that helps nourish “my story”. Through blood, sweat and tears, my once much needed employment turned into my empire that I love and feel very blessed to own.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Obstacles and challenges, there is a list long of those! From finding trustworthy workers, to having reliable transportation, to learning how to work full time and be there for my children full time; this was a very difficult road. There have been many obstacles from the beginning to everyday business practice but one way or another, I found myself coming out of them and growing as a business and as a person. Primarily, the biggest challenges I faced were realizing that I now had built a small business and I had to organize myself accordingly. I faced challenges due to lack of education and lack of mentorship in the entrepreneur field. I felt most of all, scared and nervous as I continued with the process of creating a business that I had no idea how to navigate.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe I have been fruitful in many aspects of my life because of the risks I have taken. From the moment I started knocking on people’s door was a risk of not knowing if they were going to hire me or close the door in my face. The next risk was not knowing if my one only car, with a bad transmission, was going to make it up the hill that day to access my client’s home. The most memorable and major risks I have embarked on have taught me the most in personal and business aspects. One of them was the expansion of my business from residential to commercial and learning how to navigate a new business feature. Others were me venturing into multiple other businesses such as real estate, international Airbnb’s, and soon, running an event center. After the many risks I have had to take, either voluntarily or by having no other choice, I believe that is what has made me as successful as I am today. The uncertainty and fear of change was/is always in the back of my mind, but I feel that risks are what mold us to be better versions of ourselves, ready to take on the next challenge.
