Hidden Gems: Meet Kimberley Ibarra of Seven Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberley Ibarra

Hi Kimberley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve had a passion for beauty for as long as I can remember but my journey to where I am today is about much more than just beauty—it’s about faith, purpose, and transformation. I grew up without a father, and with a mother that often worked two or three jobs at a time to provide for three kids. As I grew older, I struggled with my self-image. I was never the ‘pretty one’, I was overweight, and I was never the person any of the guys in school were interested in. I didn’t have anyone speaking a positive identity over me, so I grew up forming my identity and sense of self from my experiences and chasing a sense of worth and validation through how I looked.

As I got older, my focus on beauty became entirely outward. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2005, and later earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2008. In my mid-thirties, I began my quest to fight the aging process by exploring the world of injectables. This quest became a necessity after my divorce, as I had to figure out how to maintain my beauty regimen on a single income. I spent years researching and practicing on myself.

After my divorce, I still didn’t have a solid sense of identity. It wasn’t until I returned to my faith and deepened my relationship with God that I began to find my true identity—one that wasn’t dependent on outward appearance but rooted in who I am in Christ. This shift allowed me to see a new vision for my life in the beauty industry.

My past experiences, my faith journey, and my passion for beauty have all converged to bring me to where I am today. Each of these factors played a pivotal role in shaping not just who I am, but also my decision to become a certified injector and start this business. My struggles with self-image, my spiritual growth, and my desire to help others have become the foundation of my work.

As a mother of two incredible adult sons and a grandmother to five adorable grandchildren, I feel and look as young as ever, thanks to the very treatments I now offer. My aesthetics business is driven by the mission of “beauty with purpose.” Being firmly rooted in my faith in God, I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of the women I serve and the community at large. It’s my way of serving with my time, talents, and treasure, ensuring that every client’s journey to beauty also contributes to a greater good.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road; rather, it’s been a journey of growth and transformation. While I’ve faced financial challenges and the difficulties of starting a business on my own—without a team to help with website development or marketing—those aren’t my biggest struggles.

The biggest ongoing challenge has been facing my own limiting beliefs—those moments of self-doubt where I questioned my competency and whether I was really equipped to start this business. As someone who had to rebuild after going through a divorce at the age of 43, there were times I felt lost in life, like I was starting from scratch, and it was easy to let fear of failure creep in. Many of those limiting beliefs didn’t just disappear; they still pop up, especially when I face new obstacles, take on bigger projects, or make mistakes. I must constantly renew my mind daily, to be transformed in my way of thinking, fighting against limiting beliefs and imposter syndrome, reminding myself of who God says I am.

Staying focused on my mission and vision has required intentional effort. It’s easy to get caught up in doubts, but I must remind myself why I started—why I’m passionate about helping women, especially those who’ve been through hardship, feel confident and empowered in their own skin. I want to leave an imprint on this world and create a legacy that my kids and grandkids will be proud of. I want to use my time, talents, and treasure to give back to the world and help those in need. These are the things that drive me every day.

Now, I focus on living my life with intention. After everything I’ve been through, I’ve realized how precious time is, and I don’t want to mis-live my remaining years. I want to live with purpose, knowing that every action I take is in alignment with my mission and the legacy I’m building. It’s not always easy, but the challenges have shaped me, and I’m grateful for the growth they’ve inspired.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Seven Aesthetics offers a range of injectable treatments, including Botox (neurotoxin), dermal fillers, and lipodissolve, both through our concierge service and soon, at our new physical location.

There are many things that set us apart from our competitors embodied in our mission of “Beauty with Purpose” but something else that sets us apart is the individualized experience we offer. Clients feel truly cared for, not just during the procedure but long after they’ve left. I offer unique attention to post-treatment follow-up, which is unlike anything offered at other med-spas or injectable providers. I am deeply invested in the satisfaction and results of every client and follow up with clients regularly after treatment is administered. For neurotoxin treatments, we offer a complimentary 2-week follow-up where we assess the results together. If any adjustments are needed, we’ll take appropriate corrective action, in most cases at no additional cost, to ensure the client is completely satisfied. My desire is to help women regain confidence through beauty treatments that enhance their outer appearance and positively impact their inner self.

I’m most proud of our commitment to giving back to the community. Seven Aesthetics supports nonprofit organizations that help those in need, further reflecting my belief that true beauty comes from within and extends outward into the world around us. A percentage of all revenue is donated to these organizations, which makes every treatment at Seven Aesthetics more than just a beauty service—it’s a way of spreading kindness, love, and contributing to the greater good—beauty is not in vain.

I want readers to know that the mission is “beauty with purpose.” My brand isn’t just about treatments and results—it’s about transformation, both inside and out. It’s about helping women see the beauty and value they carry within. As someone who’s been through a transformative journey myself, I understand the power of self-confidence and self-worth, and I’m committed to helping others find that too. “Beauty with purpose” is the commitment of using my time, talents, and treasure for something greater than myself, for helping women feel valued, and for helping those in need.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Growing up as the youngest of three in a single-parent home, life wasn’t always easy. My mom worked multiple jobs to make ends meet, doing her best to provide for us, which often meant we had to find joy in simpler things.

One of my favorite childhood memories is rooted in my time on Ross Street, where adventure and simplicity intertwined. It was a small city block, yet it felt like our own little world. The street had just a few houses, with one side ending in a cinder block wall that sealed off the cul-de-sac. I can still picture the narrow walkway that cut through that wall, leading us to Prince Street—a shortcut I took more times than I can count.

On one side of our house, we had a single neighbor, while the other side opened up to several acres of untouched fields. That field was our playground, especially when it came to catching horny toads. The feisty yellow-bellied ones would shoot blood at us to defend themselves, prompting laughter and screams as we tried to dodge their peculiar defense. But it was the white-bellied ones we truly sought out—gentle creatures that were easier to catch and hold.

When construction began on the field, it opened a whole new world of adventure. After school, my siblings and I would race over to the sites, exploring every stage of the build. The concrete slabs became our canvas, transforming into whatever our imaginations desired. As the frames went up, we claimed rooms in the skeletal structures, dreaming up our ideal homes. Those houses seemed to take forever to build, providing us endless opportunities for play.

I also recall a hardware store—possibly an Ace—behind our house, where an alley filled with lumber became another favorite spot. We’d climb and jump, creating hideouts among the wood, blissfully unaware of any dangers.

Ross Street was more than just a place to live; it was a backdrop for my most cherished childhood memories, filled with adventure, imagination, and a sense of freedom. Looking back, I realize these experiences shaped my appreciation for simplicity and creativity, values that continue to resonate with me today. They remind me of the importance of making the most of every moment and finding joy in the little things. They also remind me of how precious time is. Our life is but a vapor and we should cherish and make the most of every moment, lessons I carry into my life and work now.
