Today we’d like to introduce you to Luna Battalia.
Hi Luna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started as a Fashion Designer, making clothes out of my room in High School and selling them to local shops. I went on to study fashion and work in NYC and LA as a designer for many years. Eventually, I became disillusioned by the industry and while on a break from work, I had a spiritual awakening. From that point on, my life has been dedicated to service. I worked in Addiction Recovery as a clinician for 8 years while receiving my Masters in Spiritual Psychology. While in school, my classmates were having breakthroughs working with me in class, and they asked, if I had any “packages” to continue with me outside class… I didn’t even know what a “package” was, but I quickly found out and my coaching practice began. Over the years it’s evolved from spiritual and personal development to more of a focus on leadership both in one’s career, in their personal lives, and how they show up in their community. I’ve always been an artist, a devotional, a nourisher so training for hospice care, serving tea, writing poetry, and creating beauty through community meals and events have been supporting roles I’ve taken on over the years. I believe personal responsibility, AKA Leadership, is our duty to cultivate and share as an example in the world so that today’s young adults can become the elders we need. This is something I write about in my upcoming book, “The Art of Remembrance.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggles have been many, but looking back, not that far back as they continue to come my way, I can say that I’m grateful for the ways they’ve shaped me. From the loss of my Mother to cancer and chemotherapy at a young age, to sexual assault, to miscarriage and divorce, and all the little challenges in between have made me who I am today. I like to think of them as “initiations”, little unexpected Rites of Passage that showed me that my response to life is what creates my reality. I’ve sat in prisons often with people who have fared far worse in life, some with good attitudes, and some with a more negative outlook about their lives and I know that it’s not what happens but how we choose to see it that shapes the life we continue to create and step into. No one comes out of this life unscathed.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer three things: 6-month Leadership Mentorships, Brand Legacy Strategy & Design, as well as transformational curated experiences: everything from weekly Tea Ceremony in my home to community events, wilderness immersions, and destination retreats.
My work lives at the intersection where your devotion, business, embodiment, and subconscious meet. I believe that inspired people create worlds of inspiration and I hope that my work can be infectious in it’s ability to inspire people to see their own ability to tend the soil of their lives and businesses to create rich, fertile ground for the bold goals they are bringing to life, and for others to be inspired by them to do the same in their own worlds.
Everything I do is intended to support a culture of personal responsibility, one where we leave undeniable world-changing legacies that impact people for generations to come. When supporting businesses, I do so with the framework of building brands and organizations with longevity.
I’m not trying to show you the way. I’m here to help you find your way. That’s a big difference in what I offer and a lot of what you might find out there.
In my mentorships, it’s that mix of fierce love and advocacy for your personal liberation and the nurturance of the Soul Friend. I’ve been there, to the darkest places. God doesn’t craft everyone with that capacity. There’s a unique gift in being able to stand strong with truly anything that one could bring forth, and that’s what I intend to help my clients cultivate: an unshakable knowing of their ability to meet it all, and to know they’re not alone.
In my Creative Direction and Brand Development, I break you out of the box of “shoulds” and “templates” and support your unique blueprint to be expressed through your messaging, business structure & strategy, and all the marketing and visual-storytelling assets in a way that feels enlivening and congruent to your Soul.
I also created a deck, the Self-Initiation Deck. 55 technicolor poker-sized cards, encased in a luxurious hard box, for you to draw oracle cards, daily affirmations, or writing prompts that awaken your Sovereign Self. Expect devotional remembrance that automagically magnetizes your holy badass, mature archetype into form.
How do you think about happiness?
Being together in family and community makes me happiest. I grew up, for some of my childhood, in a four-generation household, so being together to share the day, meals, relaxation, and maybe some card games fill my heart as some of my favorite memories. It’s different these days. People move across the country, we live in little separate boxes and cook for ourselves or order in and I long for togetherness, so when I have those moments, I am filled to the brim with gratitude for sharing this life with like-minded folks.
