Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Chavez.
Hi Marc, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my firm in 2018 after serving 12 years as a prosecutor. I gained a wealth of knowledge, tried a bunch of cases, and accomplished all the goals i wanted to as a prosecutor. It was time to stary my dream of owning my own business (as I was a business major in college and have an MBA as well). For the first several years as a defense attorney, you spend the whole time trying not to sink and stay afloat. Being in business for yourself, you are responsible for finding avenues of income and strengthening those avenues all while continue to learn not only business of the defense side of the law. Many times, it was incredibly stressful and taxing on your well-being. Once i finally got my feet underneath me, I wanted to set a vision of what i wanted for the firm. We are now thriving and prospering all while bringing in young individuals either in law school or undergraduate that are interested in Law. We shepherd young professionals and mentor them thru the criminal law and law process. The purpose of this is to assist them in determining their path sooner than later. If they intern for me and decide they love this area of law, then I’ve done my job. If they decided they hate it, I’ve also done my job. My mission for them is simple… I want them to be better than I ever was, sooner. But I’ve challenged them, that I will not make it easy. I also challenge them to find their ‘why’. This combination allows me to employee young passionate professionals who love what they do and in fact work as if they own the company. It’s allowed my company to thrive as well as allow me to inspire them to be great. I love what I do
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but the rough roads, pitfuls, and failures have allowed me to learn, grow and become better.
For years, I ran this company alone. Just myself… as attorney, legal assistant, paralegal, researcher, secretary, you name it. That’s rough and hard and causes burn out really quickly. I did that for at least 4 – 5 years.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Marc Chavez Law Firm?
Our law firm specializes in Criminal law, Personal Injury, Title IX, Juvenile law, and the occasional Family Law. What sets us apart are the young, inspired individuals who work as if they own the company. Their hard work allows us to be fully prepared way ahead of any court settings.
With this infusion of young talent, we are more and more in the social media world. That gives us recognition (free advertisment) in the community, gets our name out and shows that we are related to everyone.
Viewers should know this: when you retain us to represent you in the most stressful events in your life, you will not only get a passionate attorney that fights for your rights, but you get an entire team. We don’t designate just an attorney to the case or just a legal assistant to communicate with… you have the entire team. In fact, lately all our 5 star reviews mention more than just me as the lead attorney. All comments mention the entire team and the passion we all have in defending them.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The constant and persistent desire to grind and hustle every single day.
