Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Brunner.
Morgan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I really didn’t know I was starting my business when I did. I was going through a really rough time. I was trying to at the time, locate and meet my birth family as I was adopted at birth. I had just quit my job & honestly never even thought about a job after. I then with my time off started creating different crafty things, as it is like my therapy, something I love to do, & is a strong skill of mine. Always already sharing my life on social media, I posted things I made & was proud of. With posting them I started to get the best super supportive Friends & Family asking me if I could make them something. Starting from there to then moving forward to opening up Pre-Orders (Where the customer can buy items before the items get into the store.) & my orders for things started to grow. One day I was working on orders and feeling so blessed I had enough to keep me busy & thanking god because “That would of never been possible from just me without his help!”. After that moment it dawned on me & I thought “oh Sh*t, I have a boutique starting!!” so I started putting more into it. Google was my absolute best friend and favorite pass time & still is. I would research & learn whatever I could once realizing I was creating a career full of the things I of course LOVE LOVE LOVE. Finding out who I was turned into wanting to help empower other women to be confident in their own unique beauty, after all your uniqueness is your beauty. Tie that in with Fashion, Shopping, & Posting on Social Media I realized I was doing all those things as a job starting to bring money in for my family. Once I gathered my entire head around that haha, I started to save up money & get inventory in making The Sassy Heifer Born.
Fast forward with many, many hard work, sweat, tears, mistakes, frustration, good times, happy & sad tears behind me I kept getting asked about a storefront. I forever said no nope no way not me & in my super tiny town of less then 300 people, a store wouldn’t be sustainable. As always, I am the black sheep and doing complete different or opposite things from everyone this next idea I had wasn’t so off the beaten path from my wild ideas. One evening I was sitting outside enjoying the peace of the country & staring off into space looking at our old farm cattle trailer. The idea of The Sassy Heifer Mobile Boutique Trailer was born. Going after whatever I want & never caring what others think or who tells me no, or I’m dumb I went out in the middle of COVID Pandemic & bought a 40 Foot Enclosed Cargo Trailer. At this point, my family thought I was nuts, I am a very visionary person seeing my ideas come to life before I actually finish that project so I could see it. I have a full storefront just on wheels so I can travel where ever I want & see my amazing Herd of Customers. Dressing room, A/C, Heat, Storage, etc. & I now had my dream & passion on wheels. She is truly my proudest thing I have ever done in my life. Over the past 3 1/2 years of having my Small Boutique Business & about two years of having the trailer, I have been blessed with so much. Thanking God for every second of it. From being contacted by Small Business Fashion week having my line walk the runway, to creating my first private label tennis shoes having them go viral & selling over 1,000 pairs in 3 days. All while being able to use this little idea to make an income to provide for my little girl, I never in 1,000,000 years thought It would turn out to this amazing passion & career I am building on today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It is a different struggle everyday! You just have to have a passion loving what you do so much, hardwork, be determined, & learning from the mistakes along the way.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Hey Babe💕 I’m Morgan Brunner the owner of The Sassy Heifer, I am a 26 years old & a mom to the most precious baby girl. I have always had an obsession for shopping and fashion. From clothes to jewelry to almost anything, I loved it. So with having the idea and dream of wanting a boutique, I finally (after overthinking everything) decided to go for it & in October of 2018 opened up!
My whole goal and drive with this business is to make women feel loved, good in their own beautiful skin, confident, & cute as ever with our items. For you to feel and be the best version of your true unapologetic self when wearing The Sassy Heifer.
Western, unique, sassy, & chic style is all me! Every piece we put out is my style & things I truly love. From the country raised girl in me to the sassy spunky boutique in me, our style makes every part happy! I work day in and day out on the boutique & absolutely love it. It truly is my happy place & I think that also comes from having such sweet and amazing customers. Every single like, share, word of mouth, referral, comment, or purchase is so truly appreciated and helps support my dream and small business. When shopping small or local, you are supporting a family and a little girl. Every single order we get makes me LITERALLY do a happy dance and scream with excitement a little. I always hope I can help you all find the best items for yourself and your fashion eye as well as letting you know that you are a goddess & a badass & you’ve totally got this crazy thing called life and get to wear the best clothes while doing it. All of my customers are truly like family to us because we love to meet new smiling faces all the time and connect.
So, fast forward to August 2020. We decided to go mobile!
THE SASSY HEIFER MOBILE TRAILER:
My absolute dream all in one picture. In August, I decided to buy a trailer and go mobile. We love traveling and getting to meet so many new faces and people. Getting to meet our customers in person & connect with them is what we love. I didn’t want just a stationed brick and mortar at least not yet it wasn’t really me to do the normal thing. So I dove into what I really wanted and why I do what I do. I wanted to travel, make memories, interact and get to know my customer, take care of my family, and enjoy this beautiful life we have to live. All while empowering women to be their true unapologetic happy self. I wanted to be able to go where ever I want whenever I wanted. I wanted to go where the people are and be at fun functions and events I love. So being raised as a country girl, I decided I wanted to turn a trailer into a store, my own sassy happy place. Now I get to travel and meet all my beautifully souled customers. I get to learn so much about my customers and have met some of the most amazing sweetest people along the way! That is why I wanted the trailer to begin with and none of it would be possible without my BOMB ASS customers! I truly believe our customers are our family who we usually find a lot in common with. So every single one of them is special to me and means the world to me that they shop small supporting my little dream and our family. Make sure you look out for us on the road and see when we will be at an event near you!
