Hi Petra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Petty’s Beauty Makeup Academy in 2016. Since I was young, I have always had big dreams. For different reasons, I had to put them on hold and it wasn’t until I moved to the US that I was able to start working towards them. I’m very proud of all my accomplishments and to be an entrepreneur Latin woman. I believe that when you work hard to accomplish your dreams and have passion for what you do the reward comes and it’s always worth it. Every day, I wake up motivated to keep growing and excited to continue expressing my life experiences through my work. I feel extremely grateful that through my work that is my passion; I have the opportunity to enhance the beauty of my clients. It’s very rewarding to see their reaction when they look in the mirror and see a beautiful and confident woman. I can’t wait to keep learning and keep up with the latest trends in the beauty industry and share them with my students and clients.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My beauty academy was a dream that started when I was young and I had to put it on hold because I started my family at a young age, as a single mother taking care of my family was my priority.

I have always been a very joyful and positive person that enjoys being surrounded with family and friends.
