Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
NINE & BEYOND was created out of personal experience. When I first got pregnant & went shopping, I realized that there are limited options in the market. I couldn’t find clothes that suit my style & I didn’t want to invest in items that I will only wear for nine months. So I decided to create fashionable & high-quality options that are comfortable with innovative solutions so that women can continue to wear them even when they are done with pregnancy & breastfeeding.
At NINE & BEYOND, we fashionably empower & embrace women’s changing bodies through the different phases of their life including pregnancy, breastfeeding & beyond.
Women’s wellbeing sits at the top of our priorities through everything we do. My purpose of my brand is to help women feel good about themselves through NINE & BEYOND especially during tough phases in their life with sustainable styles that are designed with comfort & longevity in mind where women can wear any of our multifunctional designs through the different phases of her life instead of wasting clothing as their needs change.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were definitely struggles along the way especially with production and sampling and finding a suitable manufacturer with the quality we have in mind. Also changing the mindset of the community from settling for what is available in the market to feeling confident & fashionable with pieces that they can keep wearing through the different phases of their lives. Women are used to wearing maternity wear for a few months then not wear anymore. NINE & BEYOND is here to change that. All our designs are pregnancy-friendly & most of them are nursing friendly so that women will rely on the pieces they love through this all & beyond.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Having a mentor is a great way to help you stay on track and explore your potential. It is important to know what you want and what you stand for then share it with your current network so that when they come across a suitable opportunity, they will think of you since they already know what you are looking for. This way you will expand your network even more seven get exposed to new opportunities & new acquaintances.
