Hi Tina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My jewelry-making journey began in late 2021. When I opened my business, I did Heat Transfer customized Graphic tee, Tote bags, and Makeup Bags. Later on, I decided to add handmade jewelry and accessories. I am an artist: I write poetry, books, songs, and draw. Making jewelry is another form of my creative ability. I started making jewelry with wood and sea beads; I now work with different materials, such as gemstones, crystals, copper, and chains. I have taught myself how to make everything I’ve made. Sometimes, I’m inspired by another artist, but most designs are mine.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has yet to be a walk in the park. The jewelry-making industry is now highly competitive, making it challenging to profit online. I’ve grappled with setting the right prices and reaching the right audience. Even now, I’m navigating the complexities of targeting the right audience, driven by my belief that my creations are meant for everyone. These challenges, however, have only fueled my determination to succeed.

Stories4thegods LLC specializes in handmade jewelry and accessories with Healing properties. The jewelry is made with different types of Gemstones, Crystals, Wood, Sea, and Glass Beads. I make bracelets, earrings, necklaces, anklets, charms, and traditional African Waistbands. I also specialize in Chain and Beaded Bras. You can choose from the list of already-made products, or I can customize a product just for you and your loved ones. If you are not a jewelry person, that’s fine, too. I can customize a Graphic tee, Tote bag, or makeup bag for you. I also make Waterproof Removable Stickers.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people don’t know about my work is that I support local businesses by buying my Gemstones and Crystals locally. Most people need to be aware that my wood and Sea beads are imported from Liberia, West Africa, where I am originally from.
