Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Pardi-MacGregor.
Hi Valentina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am originally from Argentina and grew up with a mother that photographed everything because my brother was on borrowed time with a heart condition. This made me always draw towards visual arts and for college, I decided to study Fashion Design in Milan, Italy. Once I returned, after three years, I worked in Sales, Marketing/Product Development in London, Glasgow, and Madrid before becoming a photographer. I fell in love with the ability to capture a portrait and help women feel beautiful in a more authentic way than fashion could. This meant I threw myself into learning all aspects of photography for the next eight years. In 2016, I opened my first studio at home in Lakeway and have grown since to have a studio in front of the Lexus dealership on 620 and one opening soon in Europe.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to becoming a photographer has been full of delight and wonder. So much to learn and nothing is a mistake. However, the road to being a business owner has been full of ups and downs, self-doubt and numbers!! I have taken this as a personal challenge to run the most lucrative studio with the best customer service. This has meant prioritizing, becoming more organized, and structuring my days in ways that I had never before done. My husband coming on board to help me has been amazing, to say the least!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a portrait photographer specializing in photographing women and their loved ones. I am known for being able to make everyone that comes into my studio feel comfortable and at ease in order to capture the very best photos, they have ever seen of themselves. Headshots, Portraits, and Boudoir are all met with the same classic, fine art style that defines my brand. I pride myself in providing a full service, boutique studio experience…. with a full in-home styling session before the shoot, full hair and makeup, and in person delivery and installation of print products all including a lifetime warrantee.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I love meeting new people and seeing new places because I find my mind and heart grows as a result of both.
