Hi Sherry, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I worked in the beauty industry for 15+ years as a sales consultant selling professional beauty products to salons and spas. Although, I loved being a sales consultant, I was ready to start my own business. I was very excited about Microblading after getting my eyebrows microbladed approximately four years ago. I decided to get certified and then found my business home at Willow Salon & Spa in Round Rock, Texas, voted best of Round Rock 2017. February 2021 marks my Three Year Anniversary in business! I’m so excited to continue my Microblading service to all who desire to have those amazing eyebrows they deserve. I love my career as a Microblading Artist, and have the opportunity to meet fabulous women every day! My motto: Creating beautiful eyebrows isn’t just about beauty. It’s about Empowering Women with Confidence!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a new business does have its challenges. Mine mostly we’re finding new clients. I ran model calls and specials all the time. That did help me tremendously, and helped build my portfolio. Now, that I’ve been in business for three years, it’s gotten much easier. I get a lot of referrals, which is the best way to get new clients. I have a 5 Star rating on Google, which has been great advertising. Plus, I’m a proud member of the Better Business Bureau.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sherry Loves Microblading ?
I’m a Microblading Artist, and I’m known for creating natural looking brows. I truly believe in customer support and satisfaction. Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up procedure, a form of tattooing, that creates life-like hair strokes in the brow area that typically lasts one to two years. Regular touch ups are recommended to keep brows looking fresh. Microblading is done by inserting cosmetic pigment into the Epidermis layer of the skin with a small blade attached to a hand tool. Anesthetic is used to help alleviate any discomfort. Mapping of the eyebrows are done to create the perfect shape for each individual, before Microblading begins. Eyebrows are one of the most important facial features. As we age, our eyebrows begin too then. Thinning eyebrows may also be caused by medication or illness. Microblading eyebrows gives us a younger looking appearance, and can give us our confidence back. I am so grateful to bring a big smile, or happy tears, to my clients. This is my therapy!
What are your plans for the future?
I love Microblading. I think it’ gives the most natural effect. But, I do plan on expanding my services in the future. I’d love to add Lip Blush and Powder Brows. Maybe more. We’ll see what the future holds.
