Hi Alex, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started when I tried my first escape room and was instantly hooked. I loved how it blended storytelling, problem-solving, and teamwork in such a unique way. At the time, escape rooms were still new in the U.S., and I saw an opportunity to create something special.
That led to my first project, ROOM 5280, inside a charming old Victorian house in downtown Denver. I wanted to design experiences that felt truly immersive — not just about puzzles, but about emotion and atmosphere.
Over time, that vision grew into 4 Dreams Escape Game, where the focus is on creativity, quality, and unforgettable experiences that bring people together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not always a smooth road. Like most small business journeys, it’s been full of challenges and lessons. When I first started, I had no background in construction or set design, so building those early rooms was a huge learning curve. I spent countless late nights figuring things out, from wiring props to perfecting puzzle flow.
Then came the business side — hiring, marketing, and managing operations — all while trying to stay creative and innovative. The pandemic was another major test; like many entertainment businesses, we had to close for months and rethink how to keep things alive.
But every challenge pushed me to adapt and grow. Looking back, those tough moments shaped the way I approach the business today — with more resilience, creativity, and appreciation for every player who walks through the door.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5–10 years, I see escape rooms becoming more immersive and tech-driven, with interactive storytelling, augmented reality, and dynamic sets. Experiences will be increasingly personalized, catering to different group sizes and skill levels, while continuing to bring people together in fun, meaningful, and memorable ways.
