Today we’d like to introduce you to Arti Bhakta.
Hi Arti, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has always been rooted in connection, creativity, and community.
On a personal level, I was raised in a family where hospitality, celebration, and bringing people together were part of everyday life. I grew up watching how meaningful moments — birthdays, weddings, holidays, community gatherings — had the power to create belonging and joy. That early exposure shaped how I view events today: not just as logistics, but as emotional experiences that people remember forever.
Professionally, I started my career in the events and weddings industry over a decade ago, working with multiple award-winning planning and production companies. I had the opportunity to be part of everything from intimate celebrations to large-scale, multi-day luxury weddings, corporate brand activations, nonprofit galas, and destination events. I learned the business from the ground up — from timelines and budgets to vendor management, guest experience, and on-site execution.
After years of building and executing for other brands, I felt a strong calling to create something of my own — a company that blended elevated design with heart, strategy with soul, and flawless execution with genuine human connection.
That’s how Avent Productions was born.
Today, Avent Productions is a luxury event planning and experiential design company based in Austin, Texas, producing weddings, corporate events, nonprofit fundraisers, and destination celebrations across the country and internationally. We curate elevated experiences that feel intentional, immersive, and deeply personal — whether it’s a multi-day South Asian wedding, a corporate brand activation, or a community-driven gala.
Alongside Avent, I’ve also built and grown multiple creative ventures, including Scentual Enlightenment, a luxury candle and lifestyle brand, and Aura of Arti, a personal storytelling platform focused on healing, growth, and inspiration.
At every stage of my journey, my purpose has remained the same: to create meaningful moments, empower others through beautiful experiences, and build brands that leave a lasting emotional impact.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come — but even more excited about what I’m building next.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but every challenge has shaped me into the leader and creator I am today.
On a personal level, one of the biggest struggles was learning to bet on myself. For a long time, I poured my heart and talent into building other people’s brands, helping them scale, win awards, and grow their reputations. Walking away from the security of established companies to build my own vision took courage, faith, and a deep belief in my purpose.
Professionally, the events industry is intense. It demands long hours, high pressure, and absolute precision. I’ve managed events with six-figure and seven-figure budgets, tight timelines, and enormous expectations — where there is no room for error. There were moments of burnout, exhaustion, and self-doubt, especially while juggling multiple roles as a contract planner before fully stepping into entrepreneurship.
Building Avent Productions from the ground up also meant wearing every hat — sales, marketing, operations, finance, creative, client services — all at once. There were no shortcuts. I had to learn how to price my services properly, build scalable systems, say no to misaligned projects, and step into my value as a strategist and experience designer.
There were also moments of uncertainty — navigating the realities of running a business, managing cash flow, building a pipeline, and trusting that the right clients would find me.
But every obstacle strengthened my resilience. Every challenge refined my leadership. And every leap of faith brought me closer to the company and life I envisioned.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the hard seasons. They built the foundation for everything I’m creating now.
We’ve been impressed with Avent Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Avent Productions is a luxury event planning and experiential design company based in Austin, Texas, producing elevated weddings, corporate experiences, nonprofit galas, and destination celebrations across the U.S. and internationally.
We specialize in multi-day, multi-event celebrations — particularly large-scale weddings, cultural and South Asian weddings, corporate brand activations, and high-impact fundraising events. Our work blends creative vision with operational excellence, ensuring every experience is immersive, intentional, and flawlessly executed.
What sets Avent Productions apart is that we don’t just plan events — we architect experiences.
We approach every project through both an emotional and strategic lens. That means we design moments that feel deeply personal for our clients and their guests, while also building strong operational frameworks behind the scenes so every detail runs seamlessly. Our clients trust us because we bring structure, transparency, and calm leadership to high-pressure environments.
We are known for:
Curating elevated, multi-day wedding experiences
Producing large-scale nonprofit fundraisers and community galas
Executing corporate brand activations and experiential marketing events
Managing complex logistics, timelines, and multi-vendor productions
Creating guest experiences that feel meaningful, beautiful, and unforgettable
Our brand is rooted in full-service partnership. We become an extension of our clients’ teams — guiding them from concept to completion and handling every detail so they can truly enjoy their celebration.
What I’m most proud of is the reputation Avent Productions has built for integrity, heart, and excellence. We are known for our calm leadership, our transparency, and our ability to turn big visions into beautifully executed realities. We’ve helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofits, produced milestone celebrations for families, and created once-in-a-lifetime moments for couples from around the world.
At its core, Avent Productions is about human connection. We believe events are powerful because they bring people together, tell stories, and create lasting memories. Our mission is simple: to curate elevated experiences that go beyond the ordinary and leave a meaningful impact long after the event is over.
For our clients, we offer full-service planning, design, production, and execution — whether it’s a wedding weekend, a corporate experience, or a community-driven fundraiser. For our readers, we want them to know that when they work with Avent Productions, they’re not just hiring a planner — they’re partnering with a team that truly cares about their story, their vision, and their experience.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that success is built on alignment — not hustle alone.
For a long time, I believed that working harder, saying yes to everything, and constantly proving myself was the path forward. But real growth came when I learned to trust my intuition, honor my boundaries, and build a business that reflects my values.
I’ve learned that not every opportunity is meant for me, and that saying no to the wrong projects creates space for the right ones. I’ve learned that leadership is about clarity, calm, and integrity — especially in high-pressure environments. And I’ve learned that when you lead with authenticity and heart, you attract clients, collaborators, and communities that truly align with your mission.
On a personal level, I’ve learned that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful. You can build something extraordinary in your own way, on your own timeline.
Ultimately, the greatest lesson has been learning to trust myself — my vision, my instincts, and my ability to create something impactful.
That trust is what continues to guide me forward.
