Inspiring Conversations with Aysia Davis of Ambitiouss Brand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aysia Davis.

Hi Aysia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a city girl who was born and raised in Southern California. I recently moved from Houston to Dallas after graduating college. But I did have the pleasure of visiting Austin a couple of times and it reminded me somewhat of California in some ways. I moved to Houston under the impression that the school I got accepted to offer a Fashion Degree Program.

Upon me attending, I was told the program was no longer available and that they only had elective courses pertaining to fashion that I could take. At this point, I knew I couldn’t go back home and I had to make a quick decision and major change. So I ended up choosing Sports Management which is a huge switch from Fashion. I knew that my connection with Fashion and beauty would always be something I could do. But I had to make a choice for something that could leave me financially stable. My love for fashion and beauty came from me struggling with accepting my own self-image. I and was constantly comparing myself to others feeling like I was never enough. I had to come to a place where I learned to accept myself completely and love everything about myself. Then I knew I had a solid foundation to build on. Fashion for me became a tool expression that I used to express my feelings. Learning how to use make-up was the same way a new shade can go a long way when you know how to use your tools. This is where my desire to help others was born, I knew that If I could walk someone through simple steps that would allow them to feel better about themselves inside and out, then I’d found my passion.

Once I overcame all of my insecurities, there was one more major battle and that was fear. I had to become my own cheerleader and really force myself to put myself out there and offer my services. I spend my first two years of college working part-time in retail, which gave me even more insight. That’s what gave me my push to be even more determined to start my own business. I became my first client which leads to many compliments, before long, I was styling family and friends and my business was birthed. Since 2019 my business went from being a dream on a piece of paper and became a reality. Since then, I’ve been able to expand and became the personal go-to image consultant and offer services that help others with building their business and branding it. The journey has not been easy and can get tough but can also be rewarding when you see your work and how it helps change and make an impact in other people’s lives. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next and see what the future holds in store for me and my small business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since I’ve started this path of being a business owner, it has definitely not been a smooth road. I have my days where I feel good and then I have those days where I just want to give up. Things are very up and down when you are building from the ground up and people don’t really know your name and what you do. In this day and time in our society, everyone seems to appraise people that have status behind their name more than people who don’t. It’s not easy connecting or collaborating with people because everyone is out for personal gain rather than creating change and leaving an impact on people’s lives. Another thing is the struggle with finding resources that can help you financially get ahead and offer opportunities for you to truly grow and have a stable place to have a business location, buy supplies, etc. People are not genuine and not willing to properly teach and educate people on what it means to fully create, operate and maintain a business without always running into a problem.

Another challenge that I find common within the society of new entrepreneurs coming up is everyone wants to receive support but not willing to give it out in return. As we all know, support can be offered in different ways not just by giving money and I think people don’t understand the meaning of it. This is why it’s so easy for them to not give it and keep doing what they do. I want people to understand that we all do better when we work together and a little push can go a long way in someone’s life. Do people right because when it’s your turn to do something in life that you want to do, you are going to want others to be there just as much as you do and show up for others. Become the change you want to see that’s how we create and leave an impact in both the world and people’s lives.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What you should know about “Ambitiouss Brand” is a brand created to help people become the best version of themselves. We understand that having a positive self-image is important and we want to help you look and feel the best. Working with us, we know we can bring out the best in you and bring all of your dreams and business visions to life. What makes my brand unique is that we focus on building personal connections with each person that I work with. I want to ensure that each person walks away being inspired and empowered to be the best version of themselves. I specialize in Business Branding, Social Media Marketing/Advertising, and Image Consulting. I am the proudest about my success of being a first-generation graduate from college and starting my own business and not giving up. I am a firm believer that in order to see the change, you must first be it and I aim to do just that. Every person I come in contact with I want them to remember how I made them feel, leaving an impact in their life that they refer and tell others how I made them feel.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes, I have learned a lot from the Covid-19 Crisis and that is you cannot become so codependent and comfortable with how the world operates that you don’t have a life or anything to get you through. Always have a plan and make sure you move with changes in life because at any time, anything can happen to shake our lives up and you want to be able to bounce back without having to not adjust and just decline. As far as a business, it has taught me that having a business online is the safest way to go because having building things can get shut down and it’s riskier to lose more money if the business is not flowing steadily.

This was a great read about this seemingly beautiful young business person. I am thorougly impressed by her transparency and honesty about her failures and successful accomplishments. I have had a personal consultion with Ms Davis; during our time together she made me feel like I was an person of extreme importance I left her office feeling hopeful and enthused about my impending endeavours.
