Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Fowler
Hi Brent, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, my career trajectory took an unexpected turn. Originally a professional videographer, i found myself with ample time to explore new interests while the world paused. With a growing curiosity about real estate, I delved into learning about the industry, captivated by the potential to transform spaces and create value.
The more I learned, the more my passion for real estate blossomed, gradually eclipsing my former profession. By the time the world began to reopen, I had accumilated a wealth of knowledge and a clear vision for a new career path. My background in videography proved to be an asset, giving me a unique perspective on discovering properties in the best light.
Today, as a successful real estate Investor based in Austin, TX, I have completed over $7 million in volume, combining my creative talents with business acumen to make a significant impact in the industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey is never smooth that’s what make’s it exciting! I find that life is parallel to that of a rollercoaster. You have some very high, high’s and some very low, low’s. As I’ve matured I’ve realized the importance of maintaining a sort of stoic perspective on all things. That way I’m always present and never too moved by emotion.
As you know, we’re big fans of Jewel Home Buyers. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in identifying overlooked real estate opportunities and maximizing returns through strategic investments. Many of the properties we acquire don’t appear to be much on the surface but hold deep innate value. Vision is the key separator in my opinion. A lot of time’s I see the puzzle before it’s formed while others wait for it to be put together.
With the right vision & team even the worst of properties can be brought back to life. I’m most proud of keeping faith throughout my journey. Trusting in God. I had nothing tangible to really go off when I was beginning. Majority of people didn’t understand and I was walking with blind faith. So seeing it manifest to the degree it has, has been very fulfilling.
A cliche phrase that depicts my business perfectly is “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. You may see vacant land we may see a multimillion dollar home.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For those starting out in business, focus on building a strong foundation. Invest time in researching your market, understanding your target audience, and honing your unique value proposition. Stay adaptable to changes, learn from setbacks, and prioritize experience & relationships. Most importantly, maintain perseverance and resilience through challenges, as they are inevitable but also opportunities for growth.
