Inspiring Conversations with Chamagne Williams of Pink Daisy Beauty Bar,

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chamagne Williams

Hi Chamagne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When my son was about five years old, I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life when he graduated from high school and left home. I know I had a long ways to go, but I am a planner. One day while lying on my esthetician’s table getting a facial it hit me that giving facial was something I could do. I figured I could use the platform to encourage mothers especially single mothers as I was, to take care of themselves and to teach women of color how to properly care for their skin. It was some 10 years later, while working as an AVP at a bank facing layoff that I decided I would go to school to become an esthetician. I enrolled at Ann Webb Skin Institute in 2014 and became licensed in 2015. Upon graduation, I immediately begin working at Ann Webb Skin Clinic until 2019 when I decided to go out on my own so I rented a suite in Cedar Park. In 2023 I moved to Round Rock and opened my first storefront and here I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Things have progressed steadily for me. I have been consistently moving forward, but there have definitely been some challenging times. I mean a little over a year of me going out on my own, we went into shutdown for Covid. Those were scary times for small businesses especially ones that were just getting started. I’ve also learned as a small business owner that I have to wear many hats and some of the hats don’t fit me well because there are skill sets that I’m not as proficient in. So I either have to learn the skill (social media) or have to pay someone to do that part of the business for me (taxes). With with the current economic and political shift, people are allocating funds for areas of necessity and skin care doesn’t always fall in the category of necessities, so staying relevant and continuing to provide quality skin care at an affordable price while the prices of our supplies are going up is a challenging space to be in. So to summit up, I have had smooth parts on this journey as well as a few struggles, but at the end of the day, it has all been worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Pink Daisy Beauty Bar, is a skin care studio that focuses on the health of the skin from a holistic approach. Skin care is not just about washing your face twice a day. It’s about using the correct products for your skin type in any skin concerns. It’s about eating a healthy diet, are you drinking plenty of water? What are your sleep habits? Do you exercise? How do you handle your stress? All those things go into having healthy skin.

We offer advanced facials, using a number of modalities such as microdermabrasion, hydrodermabration, LED light therapy, oxygen, chemical peels, nano channeling, and more. All of our facials are customized to the clients specific skin type, skin conditions and most important their budget. Our mission is to provide quality, skin care services and products at an affordable price. We have something for everybody.

What sets apart, our customer service and the quality of our facial. It is very important to me that our clients leave feeling pampered and relaxed while achieving their skin care goals. A facial at Pink Daisy Beauty Bar is not just a facial, it’s an experience.

Other services we provide our electrolysis and permanent make up and we will soon be bringing on full body waxing.

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved form of permanent hair removal.

We offer brow and lip services for the permanent make up.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I don’t consider myself a huge risk taker, but I definitely have taken some risk. Starting a business in itself is taking a risk. It’s not for the faint of heart. I am the sole owner of Pink Daisy Beauty Bar, which means I take on 100% of the responsibility and risk and sometimes it can be pretty scary. It’s important that I have key people surrounding that I can go to for business advice such as taxes, cash flow and marketing to name a few. Although I’m not a huge risk taker, I believe it is very important to take strategic, well-thought-out risks because if you don’t, the business will become stagnant and it won’t grow.
