Inspiring Conversations with Eric Feuerstein of MF Beards Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Feuerstein

Eric, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
MF Beards started as a conversation between Brandon and myself when we worked in retail. I had asked him what beard product he was using and we both agreed nothing was catching our attention. As we looked into the market and the options out there we noticed a lot of them all had very similar scent options. We researched our products, and what went into producing them and decided to give it a shot. As we launched we both aligned on the following, no white labeling, be unique with our main scent lines, while maintaining our approach to natural ingredients and staying within the USA for our suppliers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When we started the company we started with an investment we both could afford. It was discussed that we would not seek any loans or lines of credit and let our products provide the growth organically.

Another major stepping stone for us, was getting our new product name out in a very heavily saturated and competitive industry. Social media advertising was neither of our strong points, but slowly we are learning and adapting with the help of friends.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MF Beards Company?
MF Beards is a Texas made natural men’s grooming company. We specialize in beard care currently but do plan to expand into the complete grooming experience. Our beard butter is our most unique product line, and has been received amazingly well! We use shea butter as a base with additional carrier oils to produce a creamy lotion like product that is great for the rough hairs of a beard.

We are very proud of the fact that whenever possible we have sourced all of our packaging and products locally made in the US. Every item we offer is mixed, bottled and labeled in house.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
In our careers, we have had many mentors from our combined 50 years of retail and mid level management. One in particular id like to thank is Jason DeGesero. I worked with him from about when I was 16 to 35. He helped me grow as a person, taught me how to grow a business from multiple levels and gave me direction on how to be a leader that was respected.

Our first adopters also made a big impact in our decision to continue on, they showed us that what we were doing was viable and gave us feedback on our products

We couldn’t have done this without the support of our significant others. Thank you Annlizeth and Katie.
