Medusa Skates started in 2011 in Glitter’s garage. She ran the business from there for over a year before moving to the permanent location at Hyridge Drive in North Austin. The shop caters to roller derby, dance skaters, recreational skaters, speed skaters, kids and much more.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fairly smooth. Austin and surrounding areas have been incredible in their support of a locally owned business. Our online presence has increased during Covid. We are very appreciative of all of our repeat customers.

We are a locally owned roller skates, protective gear, and accessory store in Austin, Texas. We specialize in all things related to rollerskating.
