Today we’d like to introduce you to Heath Harper
Hi Heath, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We came to be based on how difficult it was for our founder Will Deane to create his own custom backyard spa and sauna. Online shops have thousands of options and after the long process of finding out what was best for him, he purchased the equipment. Several weeks later it showed up in a big crate at the end of his driveway with little to no instructions. He then realized the gravity of his situation – He needed to hire an electrician, a framer, and a plumber just to get his equipment safely running. He knew there were people just like him that didn’t want the hassle he had just gone through, so he created a one-stop shop for the entire process.
Since then, we have helped dozens of home owners bring their dreams to life, allowing them to be as involved or uninvolved as they’d like. We have broadened our services, and started manufacturing our own cold plunges and saunas. We have added branches in other cities and plan to continue expanding our service area to other cities in Texas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most startups, we’ve had our fair share of ups and downs. Austin is a very health-oriented city and we have been blessed with a lot of business. However, with so much business, we have had very little time to adjust with our growth. Be it small or large, there seems to be a new problem pop up every day that needs taking care of. Maintaining stock of products, keeping our construction and manufacturing quality top notch, and fostering relationships and communication with our clients are all full time jobs in their own right. So far we have been able to manage, but it’s been a stressfully fun ride the entire time.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a turn-key custom spa and landscape builder. We specialize in outdoor saunas, cold plunges, and decks. There are plenty of companies that sell product, and there are plenty of builders, but there are not many companies that handle the entire process from design to end, and if they do, they may not be as knowledgable on the range of products that we carry. We can tell you what you need, or work with you hand in hand to develop your ideas into reality. We pride ourselves on post build service as well. With certain equipment, it’s not IF, but WHEN you will run into an issue. Where other companies will have you calling into a phone tree for months trying to get your equipment fixed, we are typically able to swing by and fix your problem within 24 hours. You probably wouldn’t trust your landscaper to do electrical work, so don’t trust a run-of-the-mill contractor to build your spa.
