Hi Jeremy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
Fitness has changed my life, and I use it as a tool to help others do the same. From a young age, I found fitness as an outlet to express myself. It has shown me who I am and what I am made of. My love for fitness started when my high school buddy’s mom signed us both up for a personal training session, and we got our rears handed to us during a brutal full-body workout. Before that moment, I had never been inside a gym, but I was hooked. The next thing I knew, I was casually waking up at 4 AM to walk 3 miles to the gym and workout before I started classes for the day. This continued throughout my time in school. Fast forward to the summer after my graduation, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to live with my sister. I interacted with some of the fittest individuals I had ever met there. Everyone seemed to be a bodybuilder, cross-fitter, powerlifter, or health guru. Being surrounded by these passionate and experienced figures grew my knowledge and understanding of health and wellness, helping to create the foundation that I continue to build upon today. Fast forward once more to the present day. I have found myself in Austin, TX. Here, I have built an online fitness coaching business where I teach clients the foundations of kettlebell training and help them live an active life through functional fitness. I have also recently decided to return to school to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Coaching clients have directly inspired me to pursue a doctorate because it would allow me to further help my community through the way I know best: fitness!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have found that anything worth having is going to take work. It hasn’t always been a smooth road; fortunately, I never expected it to be. Balancing school, family, and work was challenging in the beginning stages of building out my online coaching business. However, like anything you want in this world, you get what you put into it; I put in my work and got out of it a successful business. There have been moments where I have put so much time and effort into building and had nothing to show for it. Nothing sometimes that’s just the luck of the draw, but it’s important to keep going because my biggest successes have come from consistency. It isn’t easy to keep going when you don’t see anything happening. Let me put it this way: when you plant a seed in the ground, you water it every day, knowing that one day it will sprout out of the dirt; you don’t just stop watering it. You must stay true to yourself, keep putting in the time, and know that, like the seed, things are happening even if you cannot make it.

My four non-negotiables for a happy life are my family, dogs, nature, and fitness. Each of these is a significant support in my life in one way or another, whether it be physically, spiritually, or emotionally.
