Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jose Rangel grew up surrounded by the construction and real estate industry, developing a strong understanding of building, development, and hands-on craftsmanship from an early age. Working alongside builders, developers, and homeowners across the city, he gained real-world experience that shaped his approach to quality, reliability, and problem-solving. Over the years, Jose built a reputation for delivering practical solutions and helping clients bring their projects to life. Driven by his passion for serving the community he calls home, he eventually founded his own business to provide construction services and support homeowners throughout Austin. Today, his work reflects both his local roots and his commitment to helping the city continue to grow while maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest obstacles I had to overcome was my age and young appearance when starting out. Early on, I often had to work harder to gain the trust and confidence of clients, partners, and industry professionals who were unsure because I looked young. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I used it as motivation to prove myself through consistency, strong work ethic, and delivering quality results. Over time, building relationships, showing reliability, and letting my work speak for itself helped me establish credibility and earn the trust of the people I work with today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a general contractor taking on both large and small projects across the city, typically within about an hour radius of Austin. My work ranges from clean-outs and tear-downs to full remodels, helping homeowners, investors, and developers bring their visions to life. I take pride in being hands-on and adaptable, providing practical solutions no matter the size or scope of the project. Alongside serving clients, I have also begun stepping into my own investment projects, exploring opportunities to flip, build, or sell properties while continuing to grow my experience within the construction and real estate industry.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my strongest childhood memories connected to my career today is spending summers working in construction with my cousin’s business. At the time, I honestly disliked it — the long days, the physical labor, and the demanding environment felt overwhelming when I was younger. But those early experiences planted the foundation for who I would become. Over time, what I once resisted turned into a genuine passion. As I grew older, I developed a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and sense of accomplishment that comes from building something with your own hands. Today, I look back on those summers as the beginning of my journey — shaping my work ethic, teaching me resilience, and ultimately leading me to a career and business that I now truly love.
