Inspiring Conversations with Lordswill Uwa-Ndukwe of ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lordswill Uwa-Ndukwe.

Lordswill Uwa-Ndukwe

Hi Lordswill, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Post-college football, with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, I thought I would end up going to physical therapy school. But in my heart, I truly knew I wanted an up-front way to serve people with the knowledge and lived experience of what I found in my body, through its injuries, mental struggles, and the failures in life we all face as humans. Through some diligent searching and loss of identity post-sports, and looking for meaning, I found myself working alongside chiropractors. A blessing that changed my life and the trajectory of how I wanted to impact the world.

During this time, I learned the depths of healing the nervous system and the body from a holistic perspective. I learned the psychological roots that lead to many of the inhibitions in the body. And most importantly, I had the opportunity to heal myself in the midst of witnessing others healing. I believe that to continue making the world better, it begins with the healing and grace we first offer ourselves; then it can be reflected outward.

I wanted a way to spread the knowledge I was acquiring through a hands-on method. I would have never thought of massage therapy as an option, but that became an avenue for the next segment of my path, and I followed it. It took sacrifice of time, as I had to move part-time in my work, wondered how I would take care of rent and bills for the next couple months, while I was in an accelerated six-month program. I trusted that what I would learn would not only shift my life, but also the lives of the people I would come into contact with in my future work.

At a clinic where I was already established, I had to make a decision: either stay in a place where I had a guarantee of clients ready and a setting I was familiar with, or take a leap of faith and start my own practice where I could honor the dream I mentioned in the beginning. I decided to take the leap of faith. Leaps of faith are scary, especially when they involve security and comfort. But how can you ever come to the realization and understanding of all you were meant to be unless you step outside of that security and comfort?

It was during that time of insecurity and discomfort where I felt God’s work done through me. That’s where ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS came to me, not just as a service, but as inspiration and a testament to my lived experience, conducted through a healing system that allows others to receive restoration in their bodies.

I believe we live in a world that asks many of us to perform and busy ourselves with the ways of life. But true presence comes from being authentic and going back to the dreams in your heart. With ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS, I wanted to create a system that meets individuals where they are at, a space where the duration of my services allows you to be present and gives you a moment to breathe.

I was once an individual living a high-paced life as an athlete, never taking much time to rest, always ready for the next performance. But through this work, and how I have gotten to where I am today, it has been by faith and remembering to be present in all things. Because through presence is where we are able to discover ourselves, and as a result of that, see others clearly.

As a First-Generation American, there were many doubts and fears because I had never seen success outside of the frame I knew within my family. Stepping out as an entrepreneur, and now as the founder of ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS, is not a process I would trade for anything. Because in our leaps of faith is where we discover the core of creating, expression, and most importantly, our Creator.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There’s a quote I always remind myself of in the midst of the path we all walk in life, and it says, “Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one,” by Bruce Lee, and that has been every bit of my path.

Some struggles along the way, I would say, in the beginning, when you first launch, it’s the loudest, you feel the thrill and the excitement. But when that all fades, and you have some quiet weeks, that’s where you begin to learn about yourself and the whys behind your business and your dreams. You have to get used to people misunderstanding you, because sometimes you are the only one who can see your vision through.

It’s a constant stream of learning. As a founder, you want to believe you always have the answers, but many times you’ll realize you don’t, and you have to wait and trust. Patience is key; not everything is going to move at the pace you want it to. A business moves by rhythm and mirrors seasons. You will have seasons of fruition, and you will have seasons meant for pruning and rediscovering what works and what doesn’t.

You will have weeks, or even a month, where you question whether what you’re doing is working. My faith in God has grounded me in the knowing that no matter what, all things align in your favor if you believe. Burnout is something I had to face. You come out hot and ready to give the world all you’ve got, but it’s important to remember you are human. We have limits, and we also need rest and to pour into ourselves to give people the proper care we are gifted to offer.

Financially, you will have to take risks and understand that the bank account doesn’t always mirror the character being built. Love the process; there are no shortcuts to success that is destined for you. I’d be lying if I said the path of an entrepreneur is smooth or life in general, but it cultivates this character development in you, which allows you to truly steward a business and pour into it all that comes in. In exchange for the struggle, you are given experiences that not only allow your business the room to grow but also all who come in contact with your experience.

We’ve been impressed with ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What better way to build and understand your business than by being a client of your business first? Everything created in the system, from the website to the story and the services, mirrors everything I have walked through in life. I feel in today’s world, a lot of people deal with feeling disconnected from their bodies, stuck in old trauma loops, destructive thought patterns, and not feeling secure within themselves, truthfully. The body tends to hold a lot of trauma and memory, and this can inhibit how we move through our daily lives on a physical level and how we feel.

I carried a lot of pain, some expressed and some unexpressed, and being in sports, I was taught to push through and disregard those emotions, not knowing they built up over time. Many disorders, diseases, and injuries in the body stem from unprocessed or long-held emotions. I wanted to create a system that was mobile and allowed me to move around and spread knowledge and awareness of the body and the mind through bodywork.

I specialize in holistic bodywork as a licensed massage therapist, blending in trauma-informed therapy, not only treating the body for its common needs of relief, but also addressing the deep roots of its issues. I created an integrated system through years of experience that blends learned and lived experience to truly meet a person where they are. I want everyone I work with to feel seen, to feel understood, and most importantly, to have a restorative session that releases their inhibitions and old agreements in their bodies that are holding them back from the inner-freedom they seek.

I feel what sets me apart from others is the approach. At ESO-NETICS HOLISTIC BODYWORK & WELLNESS, we are not looking for lifelong clients or to offer temporary healing, but to allow people a chance to restore their bodies at the root so they can feel the freedom to move through their lives. I don’t want people to feel dependent on a resource to help them, but to know that they have a home to return to with us if the body ever feels stuck or disordered. Along with the awareness to navigate these pains in the body in a grounded sense that builds trust in themselves, and can inform others.

What I am most proud of, brand-wise, is what ESO-NETICS represents. The name is derived from the “ESO” part, meaning the esoteric wisdom we all have within that becomes present when brought to awareness from lived experience, and the “NETICS” part, meaning the movement that happens in the body with energy, information, and education that heals the body from that awareness. Our brand is built on the theory that through the window of being able to name what is causing you discomfort or pain at its origin, mentally, physically, or spiritually, it can then be healed, because now you see it for what it is, and it is no longer hiding from your attention.

We offer a holistic, integrated bodywork service, as you will see on our website as “ESO-NETICS Integrative Bodywork”. Multiple advanced therapies that I have learned throughout the years have been woven together into a system designed to restore and allow our clients to walk out feeling whole. We work with busy professionals, athletes/active individuals, people dealing with chronic pain injuries/nervous system stress and people looking to feel restored in there bodies, which is us all. We are a mobile service and serve Austin and all surrounding areas, as well as extended cities and out-of-state services. We offer partnerships, events, and will be hosting seminars in the near future.

Our brand is for the people, and my job and will is to serve others and allow them to see themselves clearly, and also the world around them.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I feel I would define success as a process, not a destination point. It is the person you become on the path to the dream, not the person you are when you get there. Success demands that you consistently show up and embrace change. Success looks different for everyone, so it is truly what you make it to be and the habits to repeat daily.
