I was born in Ukraine, where I trained as a nurse and developed a deep passion for helping people. While my background is in healthcare, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty industry and found joy in combining both fields to help others feel confident and beautiful. After working in the beauty industry for over a decade, I moved to Austin in 2019 and took a leap of faith by purchasing BodyBrite Austin. It’s been an incredible journey, allowing me to use my nursing knowledge to offer services that not only enhance beauty but also promote overall well-being. Helping people look and feel their best is truly what drives me every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has definitely had its ups and downs. In the beginning, it’s exciting—you feel like you’re achieving big things—but the reality of running a business, especially in the first five years, comes with its challenges. COVID was a major hurdle, but beyond that, navigating the natural highs and lows of business growth has been a learning experience. Every challenge has taught me something valuable and pushed me to keep moving forward.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5-10 years, the med spa industry is expected to grow significantly as more people prioritize self-care and non-invasive aesthetic treatments. Advancements in technology will continue to drive demand for personalized, results-driven services with minimal downtime. Treatments like laser therapies, injectables, and skin rejuvenation will become even more refined and accessible, offering faster results with longer-lasting effects. There’s also a noticeable shift toward preventative care, with younger clients seeking treatments to maintain their skin’s health before aging concerns arise. Additionally, natural-looking results and holistic approaches—combining wellness with aesthetics—will be a major trend.
