My journey into entrepreneurship began when I sold baskets and candles for a special occasion back in Arkansas. I always knew that I wanted to own my own business. After my family and I moved to Texas, I enjoyed a fulfilling career, but the desire to become a business owner never waned.
In March 2022, I decision to pursue my passion for event planning and balloon styling. I conducted thorough research on becoming a balloon stylist, exploring what it took to get started and identifying communities I could connect with. Once I found my tribe—people who shared my enthusiasm for balloons—I began investing in classes and mentorship.
In mid-August 2022, amidst the challenges of COVID, I launched my business, and I have been relishing the life of an entrepreneur ever since. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
.The first year and a half was difficult as I promoted my work while also holding a full-time job. I realized I needed to find the right balance.
