We recently had the chance to connect with Julia Serbina and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Julia, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt true joy was during my trip to New York Fashion Week 2025 as a creator. Being surrounded by so much creativity, energy, and artistry was unforgettable. From stepping backstage and seeing the magic before it hit the runway, to meeting inspiring people who share the same passion for fashion and storytelling—it felt like a dream coming to life. It wasn’t just about fashion, it was about being part of a moment bigger than myself, and that filled me with pure joy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Julia, a marketing and social media professional who has found her passion in creating. Over the years, I’ve built experience working with digital campaigns, storytelling, and brand growth, which naturally led me into the world of UGC and content creation. I love helping brands connect with people in a way that feels authentic, inspiring, and human.
Alongside my work in marketing and UGC, I’m also an artist. My art is very personal—it reflects my journey, from my first steps as a young creator in Ukraine to my first exhibitions in the U.S.. I believe creativity should live in many forms, whether it’s through strategy, visual storytelling, or paint on canvas.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my creator journey—collaborating with brands, sharing my artistic perspective, and showing how creativity can bridge worlds: business, lifestyle, and art.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I created something that truly moved people. As a child in Ukraine, I would draw and paint, and I still remember the first time someone looked at my work and felt something. It was the moment I realized that my creativity had the power to connect with others, to evoke emotions, and to tell stories without words.
That feeling stayed with me. Today, whether I’m creating content for brands, working on marketing strategies, or preparing for an art exhibition, I carry that same sense of empowerment—knowing that creativity can make an impact and inspire others.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
The last time I changed my mind about something important was when I realized that my creativity didn’t have to fit into just one box. For a long time, I believed I had to choose between being a marketing professional, a UGC creator, or an artist. But over time, especially through experiences like working with brands and exhibiting my art abroad, I changed my mind—I saw that I could be all of these things at once.
That shift opened new doors for me. It taught me that my work in marketing and social media fuels my art, and my art gives depth and authenticity to my brand collaborations. It was a powerful reminder that embracing all sides of myself creates a stronger, more meaningful story.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I protect at all costs is authenticity. Whether it’s in art, marketing, or content creation, I believe people connect most deeply with what feels real. Growing up in Ukraine and later building my life and career abroad, I’ve learned how important it is to stay true to yourself, your story, and your voice—no matter the environment.
In my UGC work, I always aim to create content that feels genuine rather than staged, because that’s what truly resonates with audiences. And in my art, authenticity is everything—it carries my emotions, my heritage, and my perspective into every piece. For me, authenticity isn’t just a value, it’s the foundation of meaningful connection.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m creating—whether it’s painting in my studio, working on a new piece of content for a brand, or simply sketching ideas in my notebook. Those moments are quiet and grounding, where time slows down and I can fully connect with myself.
Art, for me, has always been a sanctuary. It’s where my thoughts, experiences, and emotions find their way onto a canvas or into a story. Even in the fast-paced world of marketing and social media, I try to keep that same sense of calm creativity alive. That’s when I feel balanced, purposeful, and at peace.
