Hi 1tee2ellz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a multi-genre producer and songwriter from Southeast Alabama. An avid music enthusiast, I started writing songs at a very early age and began making beats in 2004. In 2009, I moved from Fayetteville, NC to Austin, TX and started making a name as one of the best producers in the city. Since moving to Austin, I’ve worked with acclaimed acts such as Tribe Mafia, Y2, Rudeboy Tha Shottah, Kydd Jones, CP Loony and more… In 2021, Airbit.com, a top-ranked platform for online beat sales, noted me as one of the top 100 producers in the world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having comes easy. I’ve struggled with challenges both within the music and outside of the music that ultimately affected my creativity.

I’ve battled with depression, homelessness, drug dependency, and betrayals… just an accumulation of almost every misfortune you could imagine has brought me to want to give up on life but I always find a way to rise above it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I consider myself a true music producer. I love being fully involved in the creative process and but I’m not too proud to step into a supporting role.

I believe what sets me apart most from other beat makers is my sound selection and percussive style. The go-to sound right now in urban music is “Trap” which I can appreciate for what it is. I like to be a bit more bold with my work so that you get the real “AWE” moments.

I’m proud to say that I’ve worked with notable acts from the city like Y2, Tribe Mafia and CP Loony. Through my collaborations, I have learned so much and I’m excited to show what more I have in store.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
There’s no excuse to being broke. You can make a million from the comfort of your home.
