Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Barry.
Hi Amber, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
A few years ago, I woke up with a dream that God had more for our family. I was in this season of trying to find my creative niche. I knew I loved to take photos and it kinda came to me through a series of small events. I looked up schools that taught the basics of photography because I wanted to learn the foundations before I could “get creative” with it. My husband sold his hobby, and encouraged me to get the camera I wanted, take the classes and start the business! As I learned the foundations, he learned alongside me, (He’s a tech nerd too). We are now we are a team that loves to meet people, hear their stories and capture it through beautiful photos that will last a lifetime! We give all the glory to God who gave us this gift and opportunity. It has been so cool to see who we’ve meet and what he’s doing with our photography business! We started photography where we met in Washington, so you’ll see that our portfolio is full of the Washington people and beauty. We moved to Austin area where Phillip is from in June of 2025. I have fell in love with Texas and it’s unique beauty. The people and culture are what drew me to being here. I can’t wait to see where this next season of our lives will bring and the creativity that will be unleashed in this city!
Some of my favorite things to shoot is branding & business. I would love to help companies display who they are and what they believe in. Connecting with people to share who they are, what they offer and how they can impact our world is truly something I am looking for in our clients. We also love to do sports photography. Phillip and I love football but are not bias to the sport. We have shot high school wrestling portraits, baseball players, and more!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the biggest struggle is right now because of our relocation. We had so many friends and families who were our clients in Washington. Moving to a new city will always be a struggle because everything is new. Not too many people know our work year but that doesn’t scare us. We are patient and we know that genuine connection will be what matters in the end.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are photographers who love finding new spots to take photos of people and nature. We always call it a date night when we can go on a shoot together. It’s really a joy to be creative with people and really find what reflects them in their season of life. We want people to love their photos so we really try to customize each experience to the person / people or brand!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think we are good at making people feel comfortable. You’d be surprised how many people hate having their photos taken but really want it for the memories. So we try to make it as fun and comfortable as possible!
