Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Ackovska.
Hi Ana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started by helping friends and family through life transitions—moving, downsizing, or just feeling overwhelmed by clutter. People kept telling me I had a good eye and clever ideas for making spaces work. What began as a side gig during a time I felt stuck in the job market—burnt out from toxic bosses and unfulfilling roles, slowly grew into something more meaningful. I didn’t plan to run a service-based business, but I kept saying “yes” to the people around me. Now, I run my own organizing and home staging business, blending creativity and strategy to help others find peace, clarity, and flow in their homes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been rewarding, but definitely not without its challenges. As a first-time business owner, I’ve had to learn a lot on the fly while also building confidence in myself. One of the biggest hurdles was shifting from a side hustle to something I fully committed to. I wasn’t ready to go back to job hunting for the millionth time—so I decided to go all in. It’s taken courage, consistency, and the belief that what I offer truly matters to people. Learning how to invest in growth, both personal and professional has been a key part of the journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My path has definitely not been linear. I moved to the U.S. in 2012 as a young immigrant and spent years working all kinds of jobs—bakeries, restaurants, retail, car rentals—anything to support myself and grow. I’ve lived on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and now in Texas, always seeking opportunity. During the pandemic, I pivoted into marketing through an online apprenticeship, which led to a job as a Sales and Marketing Manager in the tech industry. Eventually, I began contracting in digital marketing. Through all of that, I gained experience in project management, branding, and customer service, all skills I now use every day in my organizing and staging work.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my earliest and sweetest memories is sitting at the kitchen table while my mom served me fresh strawberries. I remember looking out the window through soft white lace curtains at the trees. I was maybe three or four. That very room later became my teenage bedroom. That feeling of warmth, calm, and beauty is something I carry with me and try to recreate in the homes I work in. Families trust me with their personal space, and I don’t take that lightly.
