Life & Work with Ayesha Ophelia of Wimberley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayesha Ophelia.

Hi Ayesha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been a creative person and that has opened so many doors. There is a quiet persistence to a creative spirit. There’s a rhythm to it, a pulse I’ve learned to trust, even when things get messy or uncertain. I’ve followed that rhythm for years…following the breadcrumbs, really. Intuitive nudges, unexpected invitations, little signs that tug at the soul and say, this way.

That path led me to start sharing my work online, where I grew a large IG community (on accident) and began offering things I couldn’t always name at first…expressions around grief, beauty, identity, marketing as prayer, and the wild art of being yourself. My creativity has shown up as courses, collaborative projects, and more recently, I just hosted an online symposium. For that, I did something I hadn’t done in years: I printed old-school flyers and plastered them around coffee shops in Austin. A few days later, people I’d never met were showing up in the Zoom room, faces I had never seen before but somehow knew belonged there.

After years of working mostly online, I felt the pull to return to the earth a bit. I wanted a space beyond the screen, somewhere people could gather, exhale, and reconnect. That’s how Ritual Necessity came to be…a shared healing space in Wimberley, Texas, where I found two other incredible women. It’s a quiet little sanctuary/office filled with herbs, divination, candlelight, and conversation.

I’ve written a book called The New Romantics: The Art of Musical Divination, and I’ve love being a guest on podcasts, talking about the sacred, the strange, the creative, and what it means to stay tender and truthful in a world that required hustle and little heart.

I’m excited to do more in person things including I’m hosting a retreat at the farm where I live just outside Austin…a gathering for visionaries, creatives, and seekers ready to remember what they carry and why it matters.

I don’t see creativity as content. I see it as a way of life, a spiritual force, a companion. Zero business plan, but devotion has been so powerful in making my dreams come true.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? Definitely not. But I don’t think it’s supposed to be.

At every phase of my life…from being a super creative kid, to working as a lawyer inside an ad agency, to figuring out how to actually live a life that feels aligned, there have been real challenges. Internal and external. Questions like, am I going to sacrifice soul for money, or can I find a way to merge the two? What does integrity look like when rent is due? How do I keep creating when the world feels overwhelming?

There were times I dreamed of having a physical space, and the partnerships I counted on fell through. I’ve launched projects and built apps that didn’t go anywhere. I’ve lost money. I’ve felt heartbreak. I’ve had to start over more than once.

But I can honestly say every one of those experiences shaped me. Each one refined something. Each challenge built a part of the woman who is now capable of holding what’s flowing through my life today.

I think sometimes the dream is delayed because we’re still becoming the version of ourselves who can actually live it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work with creatives and visionaries, people who feel called to bring their gifts and talents into the world…especially online. The people I tend to attract are those who don’t want to do things the cookie cutter way. They want their work to feel as good as it looks, and they want to create prosperity that’s rooted in truth, not performance.

I specialize in voice, vision, and visibility. That means I help people get clear on what they’re here to say, how they want to say it, and how to share it in a way that feels alive. I blend creative strategy with somatic bodywork, subconscious reprogramming, and intuitive practices to help people move through blocks and actually embody their next chapter. It’s not just about putting something out there…it’s about becoming the person who can hold what they’re calling in.

I think I’m known for having an online presence, especially on Instagram, that speaks directly to the heart of what people are moving through. I often hear that my words feel like a mirror, or a prayer, or a wake-up call. That means a lot to me.

What I’m most proud of is that I’ve just kept creating. Through all of it. I haven’t waited for perfection or a formula. I’ve just kept following what feels true.

And as for what sets me apart…I think it’s that I just am who I am. I don’t try to copy or compete. I believe we’re each supposed to be wildly unique, magnetic in our own way, and completely irreplaceable when we’re being ourselves. That’s the place I try to live and create from, and that’s what I help others come home to as well.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
So many people deserve mention for the path I’m on. First and foremost, my parents. My dad was a deeply creative person, but his own parents instilled in him the belief that it wasn’t a viable path. Because of that, my parents were really intentional about giving me a different message. I grew up being reminded of how creative and talented I was, and still am. That kind of belief early on really matters, and I carry that with me.

Throughout my life, I’ve been fortunate to work with people who could clearly see my gifts…sometimes even before I could. One of those people is Colette Baron-Reid, a best-selling author and oracle creator. I worked closely with her for a time, and I’ll never forget when she lovingly kicked me out of the nest. She told me I needed to have my own books, my own clients, my own decks…and all of that has now come to pass. Her encouragement was a turning point.

More recently, I spent two years in a creative residency at Kripalu shoutout Eset Rose (Alicia Keys writing partner and producer) who gathered us at a retreat center known for its focus on healing and transformation. I was part of a collective of artists…Grammy-winning musicians, actors, healers, and those still figuring themselves out. It wasn’t about output. It was about transformation on all levels. We were all in the question of what kind of art we wanted to make, and how to make it in a way that feels true.

And of course, I have to thank the people who show up online. The community who send me messages, love notes, voice memos, sharing how something I created shifted something in them. That has been such a healing part of this journey….to see the ripple, to know that what I’m offering is landing in real lives.

No path is walked alone. I’m held by many hands, and I don’t take that lightly.
