Today we’d like to introduce you to Eva Poznanski
Hi Eva , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into health and wellness began as a lifelong athlete. Growing up, sports were my passion, and I eventually became a collegiate track and field athlete specializing in high jump. During that time, I earned three championship titles and discovered the profound connection between physical fitness, discipline, and mental resilience.
After college, my love for fitness evolved into a passion for coaching. I realized I wanted to help others unlock their potential—not just in the gym, but in their overall health and well-being. I became a personal trainer, a CrossFit coach, and a health and wellness coach, working with individuals of all fitness levels. Over time, my coaching philosophy grew to focus on a holistic approach, addressing movement, nutrition, sleep, stress, and mindset as interconnected components of a healthy life.
Along this journey, I also developed a deep passion for community, something I found through CrossFit. This passion led me to an incredible opportunity in Austin, Texas, where I accepted a position at CrossFit Central under the leadership of Jeremy Thiel. His unwavering commitment to bringing me onto the team has been instrumental in my growth, not just professionally but personally. Being part of this vibrant community has further fueled my love for the fitness industry and strengthened my dedication to empowering others.
Today, I’m focused on helping people achieve their goals by blending my passion for fitness, community, and holistic health. Whether through tailored training programs, behavior change strategies, or simply helping someone realize their own potential, I aim to make health and wellness a lifelong, transformative journey for everyone I work with.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—it’s been a road with many twists and turns, but each challenge has played a significant role in shaping me as both a person and a coach. One of the biggest struggles has been navigating self-doubt and the fear of failure. As a competitive athlete, I was accustomed to pushing my limits, but transitioning into a leadership and coaching role meant stepping into new levels of vulnerability and responsibility.
Another challenge was moving away from the familiarity of home and taking a leap of faith to pursue an opportunity in Austin, Texas. It was a huge change—leaving behind family and friends to join a new community. But through that, I discovered the power of connection and resilience. Building relationships, earning trust, and finding my place within a strong, established community like CrossFit Central took time, effort, and dedication.
There were also moments where I had to face the realities of balancing my own fitness goals, professional aspirations, and personal well-being. The temptation to overextend myself was real, but learning to prioritize, set boundaries, and stay grounded has been a continual process. Each struggle taught me more about myself and made me more empathetic toward those I coach.
What I’ve come to realize is that struggles aren’t roadblocks—they’re stepping stones. They’ve pushed me to grow, adapt, and ultimately find a deeper purpose in serving others.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a health and wellness coach, specializing in personal training, CrossFit coaching, and whole health coaching. My work centers on creating sustainable, lifelong habits by addressing key areas like movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and mindset. I design workout programs tailored to my clients’ goals, emphasizing proper form, technique, and motivation to push their limits.
I’m proud to have earned the title of “The Sheriff,” a nickname that combines my love for all things Western with a fun and fierce approach to fitness. Growing up, I loved dressing as a cowgirl, and after moving to Texas, I fully embraced the persona. This title was solidified when I pulled a heavy deadlift weight while wearing a cowboy hat during a fundraising event—a moment that embodies my belief in bringing joy and personality into everything I do.
My clientele primarily includes a female demographic, specializing in women entrepreneurs and business owners. I offer 1:1 coaching, small group training, and class structures, creating customized programs that empower women to thrive. I also enjoy leading fitness challenges and goal-setting sessions, helping individuals step into a new reality, both physically and mentally.
What truly sets me apart is my ability to lead from the front in family, community, and business. I foster a strong sense of connection and support, ensuring that everyone I work with feels seen, celebrated, and inspired. My whole-health approach goes beyond the gym, addressing all aspects of life to create lasting transformations.
With over nine years of coaching experience and a background as a collegiate track and field athlete, I bring a wealth of expertise and passion to my work. Whether it’s helping someone crush their fitness goals, navigate a new life chapter, or embrace their potential, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.
