Today we’d like to introduce you to Jhakari Neptune.
Hi Jhakari, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I came into this game as a Music Producer. I began making beats before vocally recording myself. Greek Beats LLC independent Record Label managed by me, started in 2015. I knew I had to step out of my shell to take my craft and career to the next level. I felt more comfortable not being at the forefront or in front of cameras. I enjoy marketing and production more than showcasing my face or voice. A manager is only as good as their network, and that’s where I kept the majority of my focus, building resources to where I have full control of the operations around me. In 2021 I visually began to step out of my shell and collaborate with known videographers and photographers in my local city.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Becoming one of the greatest is guaranteed to be a challenging road. I come from working long hours full-time, investing my music with what I can while going through trials and tribulations. There were times I worked multiple jobs to get by. I come from hustling and have always had a strong work ethic in all that I do. I enjoy the grind. The struggle shaped me and forced discipline into my behavior.

Marketing and Business Management have been my primary focus in my career. I’ve self-taught and independently researched the majority of information I utilize today in my music career regarding taxes, investments, and digital marketing. I will graduate in Marketing and Business Fall of 2023. I currently have a 3.7 GPA enrolled at Temple community college, and I will graduate in Fall 2023 after completing my last 2 courses.
Are any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I like to read but not so much fiction. I enjoy digesting information about finances, the music business, and health. The podcasts I love watching are Backonfigg, CUHMUNITY Clips, Joe Budden, Drink Champs, and Million Dollars Worth of Game, to name a few. Anything that revolves around HipHop will always earn my interest. I love HipHop and have always been a student of the game before applying myself to the field.
