Life & Work with Judo Vision

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judo Vision.

Hi Judo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Judo and I am a multidisciplinary Artist! I range from being a Photographer, Designer, and DJ! I love everything about the fashion world and how you can create a masterpiece of art within it! Photography as well! Photographing multiple subjects from Fashion, editorials, events, and portraits! I just found myself behind the turntable DJing a Rave this year for Odachi! My love for these arts has brought me to so many places I never thought I’d achieve! My greatest achievement today was curating for a fashion show Objet D’Art Hosted by Chloe. ToothfairyAtx.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not. Smooth far from it. More like a rocky road with potholes here and there, but along the way I was dodging them potholes and going crazy! So many of these holes contained me to being a starving artist for sure. Financially being unstable at times but coming to that I took so many risk and all were well worth the adventure and discovery in my art. Saying fuck it and taking trips to Italy and New York to study art and fashion to in a way clear my head. Saying to myself I HAVE TO GO CRAZY! Selling my camera and camera gear to fund myself. Doordashing 6 hours a day, Buying fabrics, reconstructing garments, gathering a team of artists to elevate under one vision! It was hard to do all that! Trying to keep the roof over my head stable.. like it was hard. My girlfriend and I would eat sometimes was just eggs. Hahaha, like in different kind of ways. Egg tacos, parmesan, bacon bite topped sunny side up eggs, scrambled egg with white rice. Ahahaha! Mainly we always ate sunny side up eggs! Like I am a student as well so paying my tuition has been hard like overall super hard to mentally stable myself to eat, work, come home, work on designs, people would try to book me for shoots and I couldn’t cause I had no camera, Luckily my brother Nef would let me borrow his camera and I would go and photograph people like his camera inspired me so much to work harder and harder! Trust, my baby girl Tzy sweetest mochi baby ever helped me work on designs too she uplifted me, encouraged me so much to keep going. Her on one machine and on the other! Sleepless nights I swear! She and I would argue here and there but it was never so serious just both of us tired going to bed at 5am just working on stuff. She has her jewelry business too so she was working hard along next to me. Her hard work inspired me! y’know! Like my brothers Nef and Miguel pulled up on me. I was way too much past due on my rent and they came through brought me a heat press, cricut, vinyl, spray paint, poster board to help me complete my designs for the Fashion Show!

Like, understand without all these amazing people around me I probably would have given up on myself and not achieved my greatest goal ever… The models for the fashion show all helped me up when I was on the verge of collapsing. My boy Kalani texted me “I hope you’re doing okay bro, we’re almost at the finishing point, keep your head up. You’re helping a lot of us accomplish a dream as well as yours. I believe in you man, and won’t fail you.” I cried reading that cause I was so so so mentally in pain. All the models told me; keep going Judo, Judo you’re so powerful you can do this! I had all these problems around me while trying to create my art and was so ready to give up… nothing I was doing was helping those problems. I was late on school assignments, my tuition was late. Rent was late, bills were late like trust me I took risks to do everything. To make sure my runway set was perfect to the T…..

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I started off in Photography and established my way up to being a Designer for my brand Regular Humans Rebellion and having our first Runway presence for Objet D’Art Fashion Show! I started my brand as a way to create garments to do photoshoots in and y’know have fun with it! Create commercials, use the brand’s concept to create films, fashion films, build characters, create scenes, develop an arching vision for the brand that’s main focus is art and inspiring others to create whatever they put their mind to! Inspire communities! With this new turn into my brand’s art capabilities, we continue to excel and evolve!!

I specialize in art. I love art and all its forms. I love the idea of using art to hit all organic senses of human interaction. Sound, touch, smell, sight! It is one of my greatest assets in creating art. SUPERB reason why I feel like I’m succeeding. I create experiences!

I am most proud of The team and I executing the fashion show! Swear my most proud moment was being next in line to showcase all the designs. I looked at everyone in the garments and I knew it was a masterpiece of art… Meeting with Chandrika the day of to create the final look. LIKE INSANE!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH. I yell at the thought of it cause it was so amazing to be in the moments of that whole night NOVEMBER 12, 2022!!!! My team was so communicative we were all under one vision. “what you need judo? I need pins!” “got it!” “I’m here for you brother. Y’know I gotcha Judo.” “Judo I’m so happy to be here with you” “we gonna kill this shit!” “WE DID IT!!!!!” I tear up telling you this because it felt so amazing…. We were so focused. All my brothers pulled up and supported… my sister was there! Like it was magical! “Judo I am very proud of you” ” I am so happy to see you here achieving” …… Being with my baby on stage to wave as the designer.. I never called myself a designer because I wanted to do a fashion show first and then unlock that achieving title. Designer.

Super grateful to have met Aaron and Chloe. Thankful they gave me an opportunity to showcase my art on their runway!!! I LOVE YALL!!

I think what sets me apart from others is Love. I create in love. Pure love. I believe you can feel that when you meet me.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that the city is rich in artist, the individuals I have met in the art communities are all so genuine and love the art too! The city also lets everyone do what they love for their communities! Events everywhere, shows, exhibitions, fashion shows! All the clubs feature up and coming DJs! Trust me, I am in tune with it all! Everyone knows Judo!! Hahahaha!!

I least like Greg Abbott. fuck that guy.
