Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey White.
Hi Lindsey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At 25, I left Austin for New York City to pursue a career in fashion. What began as a dual interest in modeling and design grew into 12 years immersed in the garment district, where I developed a deep appreciation for form, detail, and craft. My work as a fit model gave me a front-row seat to the creative process of countless designers and tastemakers, while also fueling my own passion for accessories and jewelry.
With fabrication skills passed down from my father, who taught me how to weld and shape metal in his Texas workshop, I launched a line of statement jewelry that quickly gained recognition- appearing on the cover of Teen Vogue and worn by Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Over the years, my aesthetic and vision evolved alongside my understanding of design, production, and entrepreneurship- lessons learned through experimentation, persistence, and plenty of mistakes.
Now, back in Austin and raising a family, I’ve expanded my brand into home goods and lighting. Guided by a commitment to recycled materials and inspired by nature’s form and storied simplicity, my work continues to explore the balance between beauty, function, and sustainability.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely had its bumps. I tend to leap before I know exactly where I’ll land, which has made running a business with clear goals and direction a steep learning curve. Staying organized, especially while balancing a separate career, has been one of my biggest challenges. But those missteps have also been my greatest teachers. Each mistake has pushed me to build more awareness, patience, and adaptability.
As a creative, I’ve had to learn resilience and trust in myself, even during seasons of stagnation or redirection. Change is inevitable in both life and business, and embracing it has allowed me to keep moving forward, growing alongside my work.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a jewelry designer, I specialize in statement pieces that draw inspiration from rough textures, old-world simplicity and natural forms. I work directly with raw and often repurposed materials, keeping as much hands-on time with each piece as possible. I also make fine jewelry and wedding/engagement rings- often reworking heirloom pieces for clients that tell their own personal story, embracing a modern aesthetic that bridges the gap of time.
With functional lighting and home goods- I hope to spark conversation through material choice and fabrication techniques- embracing slow production where each item is handmade by my Dad and I, weaving storytelling into meaningful, time-less pieces.
I also love being front-facing for my brand, whether at local markets or through social media. Hearing directly from people about what resonates with them fuels my own creativity and keeps me motivated to push my work forward. That exchange between maker and audience feels just as important as the piece itself.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
With online shopping and mass production at their peak, my industry has already undergone huge changes over the past decade. I expect social media will continue to fuel noise and trend-chasing, but at the same time, I see a growing return to slower production and higher-quality goods.
People are beginning to realize that surrounding themselves with unused items can feel suffocating. As they pair down what no longer serves them, there’s more room to appreciate pieces that offer connection, purpose, and lasting expression. I believe the future belongs to makers who prioritize intention, sustainability, and storytelling in their work.
