Life & Work with Meghan Warren

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Warren.

Meghan Warren

Hi Meghan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I grew up in Chicagoland and attended Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in IL. I moved to Texas in 2021 and transitioned quickly into a popular hair salon where I worked long hours. With four years and 3 salons of experience, I started to recognize what I wanted my future to look like. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and joined Salon Wyld, where I have been mentored, supported, and inspired to keep reaching for the stars. My professional journey started with a love for color and became a passion for hair extensions. I still remember the first time I got hair extensions and how amazing I felt. That feeling is what I want for each of my clients and energizes me to keep reaching out to as many people as possible. I have multiple certifications for Hand Tied Extensions and am an educator for Bello Haven Extensions. My favorite thing about being an educator is connecting with stylists from around the country who share the same goal: helping everybody find their beauty inside and out.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Building confidence has been a journey for me. I think that’s why offering some level of confidence to people is such a central mission in my career. Making the move to Salon Wyld and needing to rebuild my clientele was a struggle. To help with the transition, I saved money and took on a part-time job, but the situation with money was still very tight. In between all this, I learned everything I could about the business of social media and the power of marketing. The rewards and opportunities have been worth every minute of the hard work I have put into building myself and the business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a hairstylist specializing in hair extensions and educating other stylists about them. I am most proud of my relationships with my clients and students because I know these relationships go beyond just hair. I enjoy traveling, meeting people, and participating in continuing education to stay current on the latest trends and techniques. Embracing opportunities, finding value in every experience, and staying committed to learning and growing, both as a person and a professional, helps me continue to flourish.

What matters most to you?
Personally, my husband and the life we are building together, we moved to Texas together with nothing but a future full of dreams. He is still my cheerleader, voice of reason, and biggest supporter today. He strengthens me, encourages me, and brings a little more sunshine to every day. Professionally, helping people feel amazing, building relationships, and always “community over competition.” For every client in my chair, I want them to leave feeling more beautiful, confident, and joyous. For every student in my class, I want to inspire them to get out of their comfort zone and to leave having all their expectations met.
