Life & Work with Natalia Sanchez of Waco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia Sanchez

Hi Natalia , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a huge love for capturing beautiful things and freezing time. When I was younger I would always watch my mom take pictures and store them in a photo album. There was something so special about freezing a memory and having it forever to look back on! This inspired me to get my first camera on my 15th birthday and then again at 19 when I decided to start my photography business and dedicate my time to help capture memories for others. Ever since that moment i’ve been working on my photography business! I’m 25 now and absolutely loving my job.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely has not been a smooth road! My city is filled with photographers so there were times when business was super slow and I felt like I wasn’t good enough at my
passion. It was very discouraging at times, but I never gave up!
If I only got lucky and booked one photoshoot a month, I would put my all into that photoshoot!
I started offering free model sessions to build my portfolio because it wasn’t about the money anymore, I genuinely had so much fun being creative and creating memories for people!

Sure it was hard but never giving up is what helped me get to where I am today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a photographer, I pretty much do anything! Graduations, Families, Couples, Birthdays, etc! I’m always open to collaborating with my clients on their ideas!

I’m the most proud of …every session i’ve ever done to be honest! As cheesy as it sounds, I’m always so proud of my sessions because they are all so different that you really can’t just pick one. I’m proud of how creative my eye is, and how much of a fun experience I can provide for my clients!

They always tell me at the end of our session how much fun they had, and I think that sets me apart from other because to me this isn’t just a posed job, I try not to focus on poses that make them uncomfortable but more/so fun prompts that make the photoshoot feel like less than just a photoshoot and more of an experience!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
How absolutely happy I am for all of the love and support from my clients, all my new clients and my regulars who come back.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without them!
If you ever find yourself in the central texas area, feel free to reach out and let’s create some memories!
