Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle D’Antuono.
Hi Noelle; please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
At 15, I became obsessed with becoming a content creator. It was inspiring to follow my favorite creators and see their work from anywhere in the world, be their bosses, and receive incredible brand deals for being creative. One of my core memories is receiving “Capture Your Style” by Aimee Song for Christmas. This book went in-depth on how to get the best flat lays, where you should take your pictures, how to organize your feed, etc. It was my Bible. I was heavily invested in the Disney influencer community then and desperately wanted in. So, as any insecure teenager who is afraid of judgment and holds their friend’s opinions of them a little too highly does, I started an account that same year called @disney_darlingg-and blocked everyone. I had maybe 5 followers and posted about once a month, but it made my IG-loving heart so happy to pretend I was a baby content creator. In 2020, with nothing else to do but be online all day, I put effort into Instagram. I changed my username to @enchanted.elle and began planning photoshoots, special IG events, researching analytics, and the whole 9 yards. This led to me growing a platform and meeting many incredible IG friends. A year later, I rebranded once more to incorporate more lifestyle and fashion content and now reside on social platforms everywhere as @noelleworewhat. Starting content creation has led me to some lifelong friends, figuring out my future career, and finding an outlet for creativity. In short, it was the best decision I could have ever made for myself 🙂
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Most definitely not. While there are plus sides to social media, the negative aspects of it are incredibly detrimental. There have been many nights where I’ve lied awake, feeling not good enough or stressed about pictures I’ve posted, or hating my appearance. I’m glad to say I am finally at a point where numbers or analytics don’t cause me stress, but the road to get there was bumpy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am pursuing a career in marketing and advertising with a specialty in social media! I am proud of curating a portfolio of my talent in multiple ways, from being a social media manager for a school club, styling photoshoots, and, most recently, securing an internship with my dream company.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I was being creative and, truthfully, just not caring what others think. I used to hold people’s opinions of me so highly that it would hinder how I portrayed myself or the work I created. But I’ve found the most success in learning to let go and “just do me” (as motivational quote-y as that sounds).
