Life & Work with Our Last Daze

Today we’d like to introduce you to Our Last Daze. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Our Last Daze was born from the burgeoning music scene from central Texas. With elements of emo, punk, and post-hardcore, the band quickly started making a name as cheeky, fun-loving trouble makers, we found ourselves playing footsies with local Fire Marshalls by packing dozens of beating hearts and sweating bodies into living rooms, DIY events, and abandoned storefronts. As word spread and crowds continued to grow, so have the venues.

We have honed the art of providing a high-energy, yet intimate environment. With songs emoting the debauchery of youth and the existential dread that follows. All at a venue near you. 😉

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path towards passionately driven art is one fraught with turmoil. (Haha)

During our infancy, we struggled to maintain a consistent lineup of members. Finding people who are both equally talented and dedicated to the often unorthodox lifestyle of a high-energy rock band is not easy.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We make high-energy, emotive music. When we perform live, we try to engage the crowd as much and as directly as possible. To us, they are as much a part of the show as we are. If you’re a fan, you’re family. They give us the energy to really give it our all because all it takes is ALL you got.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Work ethic and passion. The only way to complete any project is for everyone involved to be fully committed. That, and staying close and collaborating with our friends, the scene, and our community. This is the mantra we live by and it has taken us from “just” a local band to someone’s favorite band.
