Life & Work with Randi White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randi White.

Randi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started real estate in 2013 after completing ten years in hotel and restaurant management and realized I wanted something different. I was an assistant and transaction coordinator for investors in San Francisco and Houston before making my journey to Austin and picking up my own real estate license. My method of attracting business is youtube, and that has really taken off for me allowing me to grow rather quickly as a new agent in a new city.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am a mother of three young children, ages 6, 5, and 3. While I am a full-time real estate agent, every parent out there knows that you have another full-time job at home when raising a family. While my clients and transactions never feel this, because I am a professional and I take my role seriously, I do know that my marketing and growth are held back while I thoughtfully split my time and give all my love to my kids. This is a hard realization in life, but I know every day that I am making the right choice for myself by choosing time with my family.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an absolute shark with my contracts. As a former transaction coordinator for investors, I know how to move multi-task and move a large amount of files along and make sure everyone involved is paying attention to the details. Additionally, I had a wonderful mentor in my first few years as an agent who taught me the art of mastering contract writing and really embodying that knowledge is power. There are 32 outs in a residential contract for a buyer, and it is my job as the realtor to help buyers use them or to protect sellers from them. I pride myself in having integrity and working within the philosophy of “doing good business”. What you put out into the world is what you get back, and I like curating that environment for my clients while always being at the ready to drop the hammer with my extensive knowledge of contracts and processes. I try to use my youtube channel to share who I am, how I like to work, and my love for Austin! My videos are informative, silly, and full of relevant data that I collect from my own research in the market and I think my passion for knowledge really shines on the channel. I am proud of what I have built there as I think it speaks to who I am as a person and as a professional.

Any big plans?
After three years of building and learning what it takes to be a real estate agent, I think I am now in the phase of my business where I plant some roots as a business in Austin and really thrive with consistency and team building. I just joined an amazing brokerage, Spyglass Realty, and they have opened new doors for me that will show me to harness the power of my business and really build something for myself and my family. My ultimate goal is to reach a place in my career that makes me proud of what I have accomplished while also giving me the best gift of all – time with my family.
