Hi Rockon Shawn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2012 I had 2 spare speakers. I approached a friend about building a simple box for these spare speakers I had, nothing crazy just something for band practice. He said, “yeah I can do that!”. Turned out he use to work for Webb Amps and the box came out really nice. Shortly after, I attended a Shadows Fall show in Sacramento. After having a could could ones with Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall) I showed him this box my friend Jason Taylor built. He then said, “Come to our sound check in San Francisco tomorrow, I’ll test it out”. After testing it out he immediately asked, “HOW CAN I GET ONE?” And the company was born!
I then sponsored several artist including Burn Halo, Chris Poland, Living Wreckage, Act Of Defiance, The Brothers Reed, Qaalm, Of Limbo, Angels On The Battlefield, Erased, Beauty Is Betrayal, Butcher Babies, Build A Rocket, and Thumpdrag! We started out as a speaker cabinet company, and are now growing into speakers, pedals, amps, and guitars!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NO! Part of running a company is GROWTH, CONSTANT GROWTH!!!!! That means always being uncomfortable, risk, sacrifice, doing what 95% of people won’t do, and investing all your time and money into the business!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a professional artist, I do have to juggle being a musician, and a business owner. You learn as you go, the how will show its self as you take action toward your goal! Our company currently specializes in custom speaker cabinets, amp modification and repair! We have been designing guitars, amps, and pedals.
