At Savvy Picnics and Events, our story began with a passion for creating unforgettable outdoor experiences. As a seasoned event planner, I saw an opportunity to bring luxury picnics to life.
Our journey started in New Orleans in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With restaurants closed and social gatherings limited, we identified a unique chance to bring people together safely. We launched Savvy Picnics and Events, offering bespoke picnic experiences that allowed people to connect and celebrate in a responsible way.
The response was overwhelming. Our luxury picnics became a huge hit, providing a much-needed escape for people seeking connection and community during a challenging time.
Fast forward to today, and we’re thrilled to have expanded our operations to Austin, bringing our signature brand of luxury picnics to the vibrant Texas Hill Country. We craft unforgettable experiences tailored to each client’s unique needs and preferences.
From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we’re honored to have played a part in countless memories and look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in outdoor entertaining.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While we’ve been fortunate to experience significant growth and success, the journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing. One of the biggest challenges we faced early on was navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic. With constantly changing restrictions and guidelines, we had to be agile and adapt quickly to ensure our events were safe and compliant.
Another struggle was scaling our operations while maintaining the high level of quality and attention to detail that we’re known for. As demand increased, we had to refine our logistics and vendor network to ensure seamless execution.
Additionally, we’ve faced the usual challenges that come with starting and growing a business, such as managing cash flow, marketing ourselves effectively, and competing with established players in the industry.
Despite these challenges, we’ve persevered and continued to innovate, always keeping our customers at the forefront of our minds. And as we look back on our journey so far, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the Director of Operations, an experienced Event Manager, and a successful Business Owner, I’ve had the privilege of overseeing the intricacies of event planning and execution, while also driving the strategic vision of my own company, Savvy Picnics and Events.
My current role allows me to leverage my expertise in logistics, vendor management, and team leadership to deliver seamless events. With years of experience in the industry, I’ve developed a unique blend of creative vision and operational expertise. I’ve honed my skills in budgeting, timelines, and risk management, allowing me to navigate complex events with ease.
As a business owner, I’ve also had to develop a keen sense of entrepreneurship, innovation, and financial management. I’ve successfully grown my company, expanding our services and operations to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
What sets me apart is my extremely well-rounded background in the field. I’ve worked on diverse events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions, and have expertise in catering, décor, and entertainment. My passion for innovative event design and exceptional customer service drives me to continually push the boundaries of what’s possible.

To me, success is a multifaceted concept that goes beyond just achieving financial goals or milestones. It’s about creating a lasting impact, building meaningful relationships, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
In my line of work, success means delivering events that exceed our clients’ expectations, creating unforgettable experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests. It’s about attention to detail, creativity, and innovation.
On a personal level, success is about living a life that’s true to who I am, pursuing my passions, and making a positive impact on my community. It’s about building a business that’s not just profitable, but also sustainable, ethical, and responsible.
