Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Reid.
Hi Seth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always had a love for music and was a pretty shy kid so when my Dad got me an Esteban Guitar off QVC (home shopping network on TV) at the age of 14, I really took to it. It was a way to express myself and also have something to hide behind in a sense. I met my best friend at school because of the guitar and we started playing quite often. After high school, my buddy (Trey) went to college and I went to the navy. After I got out, I resumed playing again and started playing actual gigs in Southeast Oklahoma and have been hooked ever since
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s not been easy, that’s for sure. I’ve lost a wife and alotta girlfriends along the way. It’s fiscally challenging and so many miles on the road (approximately 50k since September) am not including writing and practice.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a country musician that has a very old sound. I am also a songwriter and take a lot of pride in the songs I have written.
I will be releasing my first full band songs in the coming months.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was shy and reserved at home but a cut up at school. I played basketball but music was always the dream.
