Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
Rashel Made It LLC was born of necessity. As an Active Duty Soldier and Mom of 3, I, like most, deal with a lot of stress. Rashel Made It became my stress relief. I got the opportunity to manage my anxiety through a creative outlet that shows my children what is possible when you believe, plan, and execute action toward your goals. When we go out to events, my daughters are often in attendance. They have fallen in love with Entrepreneurism, and being able to show them another option to traditional paths like college, trade schools, and the military brings me so much joy. I never want them to feel limited in what they can achieve just because they’ve never directly seen it done.
Let’s dig deeper into the story – has it been an easy path, and if not, what challenges have you overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth ride, but we are moving in the right direction. One of the biggest challenges we face being an Active Duty Business is being able to schedule events and get our name out into the community. Unfortunately, an Army schedule only sometimes leaves you with the most consistent time frames. To mitigate this, I ensure we have the necessary systems in place so our customers can find us even when we aren’t at an event for the weekend.

We also work with other local small businesses bringing their products to life with custom candle jars, notebooks, pens, and other items they need for business. What truly sets us apart is our hands-on approach and your ability as the customer to interact directly with the shop owner and the maker of your custom order. That direct access and genuine care for your satisfaction make everything we do a step above the rest.
What makes you happy?
Being able to model possibility and teach others makes me happy. I’m originally from The Bronx, New York, and I was raised in a home where adults went to work for someone else to pay the bills. So I am glad to be living proof for my community that you can own your own business and do so successfully. Teaching other business owners only levels their entrepreneurial experience and makes small businesses better for everyone. I love to teach them ways to maximize the tools they are using, get the most out of their equipment, or teach them a business skill they didn’t know they needed. Helping others helps me hone my skills and show my children that there is room for everyone in the sea of success. I need to model the behavior I’d like my children to move through life with. Ensuring they are always working toward improving themselves and helping others lets me know that any community they decide to settle in will be successful.
