Meet Alyse Gamble of Round Rock

Hi Alyse, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started modelling after I received my B.S. in public relations and writing at Texas State University in San Marcos. I’ve always had an interest in modelling ever since I was young, but cared too much about what others would think: Would this be a good fit and a sustainable career choice? Would I be taken seriously? I was anxious about exploring this new world of fashion, posing and opportunity; I secured my degree in May of 2020, then pursued modeling the following July. I joined Facebook groups and made myself visible on social media while selling myself and talents. Surprisingly in the midst of Covid-19, there were so many incredible opportunities appearing. Fast forward to now, I’ve done advertisements, book more than 5 photoshoots a week, secured amazing partnerships, and met my incredible team of photographers and creatives that I have to thank today. With the support of my family, friends and networks, I am succeeding beyond my expectations. Finding those who will continue to support your dreams is crucial.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was surprised to find so many opportunities during a pandemic. Of course, the world keeps turning as businesses adapt to this new environment. However, the biggest obstacle was rushing into a world I did not have a lot of knowledge about – I had to find and study resources online about how to model, which really prepared me to work fast and start with many free collaborations with wonderful creatives like Isaac Everett, Vickey Lee, and Kristin La Voie Photography. I’ve always taken care of my body, but today I consistently eat well and work out in order to stay fit and in shape for modelling and acting. I know one thing: you’ll always find me practicing my modelling in the mirror!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in modelling and acting (even public relations work if you need it!). I have done commercial, editorial, studio, lifestyle and swimwear work – so you could say I’ve dabbled in everything in such a short period of time. However, the work I am most proud of has to be our Saffron shoot because the shoot tested me beyond a reasonable doubt – and this ties into how I set myself apart from others. If you know me, you know I will do ANYTHING to get the shots we need, so climbing up rocky hills and mountains in below 40 degree weather while wearing almost to nothing? Yeah, I’m THAT model! I am a stubborn fighter and work my body and mind tirelessly in order to get as many excellent photos needed – my team is called, “IV League” and I came prepared for the rain, but not the cold, but we bundled up with what we had. The Saffron shoot was a great experience on how well my team and I work together and what conditions I can take. We frequently joke about how it was similar to the first episode of ANTM, where the models were freezing in their bikinis on top of a skyscraper. Without a doubt, my 5’10 figure, signature beauty mark, and athletic frame helps me stand out, but beneath is a willful tenacity that never gives up. I take my modelling seriously.

What’s next?
My plans for the future is to get signed! That’s right, I’ve been kicking butt as freelance. I hope to expand my work across the U.S., and then eventually Europe. I want to start modelling primarily in New York or Miami for an agency that provides representation well. I’m very hopeful for the future!
